Smart TV CompatibilityIt is always recommended to use our range of Soundbars, such as the JBL Bar series - if you want a speaker for your Television or Smart TV as they are designed specifically for this use, whereas our Portable speakers are designed primarily for use with Phones and Tablets.
Portable speakers with an Aux-in port, such as the Xtreme 3 and Boombox 3 - if connected through an Aux cable, should have less issues compared to using Bluetooth, however there can be issues with audio/video synchronization if used for this purpose.
Support for Bluetooth connectivity between a TV and speaker depends on a number of different factors such as Bluetooth & A2DP versions and Audio Codecs used by each device. This can vary based on the brand, model and age of the devices, however we cannot confirm if any specific combination of TV and speaker will work without issues such as latency or lip sync delay. Was this helpful? Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! When I connect my JBL speaker with a computer (PC/Laptop/Apple Mac/Nintendo Switch), can I use the PartyBoost feature? The PartyBoost feature is not available when your JBL speaker is connected to a computer via Bluetooth. This is a technical limitation. When connected to a computer, the computer is acting as the primary device. Therefore, the JBL speaker does not have control of re-transmitting the Bluetooth signal to other JBL speakers.
NOTE: Speakers effected by this are the JBL Flip 5, JBL Flip 6, JBL Charge 5, JBL Pulse 4, JBL Xtreme 3, and JBL Boombox 2, as well as all future products featuring the PartyBoost feature. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! -

What is the difference between the 5000 and the 10000 mAH battery size stated on the box?The physical battery has a capacity of 5000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, so half of the voltage, which will give you 37Wh - equivalent to a 10.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7VWas this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! Is the device still splash-proof if the zipper over the connection panel is open? No, only if the zipper is closed. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! How can I see that the device is fully charged? When the Xtreme is ON, the row of 5 diodes at the bottom of the front will light up in turn, with the top flashing LED showing how far charging has progressed. When full charge has been reached, all diodes light constantly. In some cases, the fifth diode keeps on blinking, but does not light up constantly, no matter how long charging continues. Sometimes it will show constant light after charging has been stopped. This is normal, caused by tolerances in the circuits, and is no cause for alarm. The battery is charged to the same level. If the Xtreme is OFF, no diodes will light when full charge has been reached. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback!

(IPX7 means it can survive immersion in 1 meter/3.3 feet for up to 30 minutes.)
