You can have 3 smart devices connected at the same time and by pressing play on either one of the sources (smart devices) will start streaming music. The speaker can remember up to 8 paired smart devices and when this buffer is full it will release the first added device in connected sequences. Resetting the speaker will also clear this buffer.
Can I stream music via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi from my device simultaneously?
Yes. The Google cast function works independent to that of Bluetooth, therefore you are able to Bluetooth connect to another device while casting audio to the JBL Playlist simultaneously. This feature is applicable on smartphones, tablets/iPad, and Bluetooth capable computers.
I am not able to stream Spotify music to my JBL Playlist, how come?
To use the Spotify Connect feature for JBL Playlist, a premium Spotify account is required. Please visit www.Spotify.com/freetrial for 30 days of complimentary premium account trial for first time users.
I have connected my speaker using the Device Utility app, but the Google Home app cannot find the speaker. What should I do?
Close and restart the Google Home app, or restart your phone. Start the Google Home app again, and the speaker should now appear.

Will my music be interrupted if I want to use my phone for other purposes while casting?
Yes, when casting music to your JBL Playlist, your speaker is connected to Google Cloud, which will turn your smart device into a remote control, rather than streaming music directly to the Playlist. You can easily do other things with your phone while using Chromecast, such as gaming, texting, make calls, watch Youtube etc. This will not interrupt the music that you are casting.
When using the Device Utility app to set up my speaker, my Wi-Fi network is not appearing in the list. How can I connect to my Wi-Fi network?
If the network does not appear, you can manually type in the network name (SSID) and password to connect.

Will the JBL Playlist remember my last volume change when entering standby?
Yes, it will only go back to default volume if the power is switched off or if the device is reset. The standard volume is set to 50%.
How does the One touch playlist selection work on JBL Playlist?
In our Quick Start Guide, there is a section under "One Touch Play Feature", where we explain how it works. We advise to take a look at it.
Can I factory reset my JBL Playlist speaker?
Yes, the JBL Playlist can be reset to factory settings. First, Power ON the JBL Playlist. Secondly, press and hold the Play and Volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, and after 10 seconds you should see the Play/Pause and Bluetooth button light up, followed by the speaker going into Standby. Once you see the speaker powers back ON, reset is complete.
Is JBL Playlist a portable speaker?
No, the speaker needs to be connected to power before it can work.
Does the Wi-Fi indicator on the front of JBL Playlist, has to be at full signal to work?
If the Wi-Fi indicator has all 3 LED lights on, then the signal to the speaker is extremely good, and if only 2 LED light up, then the signal will be good. If you only have 1 LED light or No LED light we suggest moving the speaker to a different location for a better Wi-Fi signal and better audio experience.
How many Chromecast built-in devices, can I connect through the multi-room mode?
The amount of Chromecast speakers you can stream music to depends on the bandwidth of your local wireless network. Theoretically, an unlimited amount of devices can be connected to stream the same song.
How can I upgrade the speaker?
By using Google Home app, and if a software is available then the app will notify you about the newest software available. Google Home app can be downloaded from Apple Play Store or Google Play Store.
