  • Does my JBL Quantum ONE headset provide game and chat audio balance?

    Yes, you can adjust game and chat audio balance by rotating the puck clockwise and anti clockwise. When rotating the puck, you will feel a notch in the puck that indicates 50 game and 50 chat.

  • Mic Monitoring Support

    Yes. You can configure the volume of the mic monitoring in JBL QuantumENGINE. The default setting of the mic monitoring is "OFF”.
  • Does JBL Quantum ONE provide surround sound?

    The JBL Quantum ONE provides QuantumSURROUND via the USB connection on PC. You can download QuantumENGINE here: JBLQuantum.com

  • What is included in the JBL Quantum ONE headset box? 

    The JBL Quantum ONE box includes the headset, detachable microphone, calibration microphone, USB Type A to C cable, 3.5mm cable and game audio chat balance dial.

  • How to switch between Game and Chat balance

    Yes, you can adjust game and chat audio balance by rotating the dial up and down. When you rotate the dial, you will feel a notch that indicates the balance is 50% game and 50% chat. The slider on Quantum ONE is different, and has no notch, but instead a visual indicator.

  • Does JBL Quantum ONE provide mic monitoring (side tone) feature?

    Yes. You can configure the volume of the mic monitoring in JBL QuantumENGINE. The default setting of the mic monitoring is "OFF”.

  • Do I need to calibrate the head tracker sensor?

    The head tracker in the Quantum ONE uses your movements to calibrate the sensors. You can speed up the calibration process by doing the following: * Imagine that the headphone is a standard cube with 6 faces (Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, Bottom) * Orient the headphone so that it is sitting on each face of "the cube" sequentially. For example, start with the headphone positioned normally (bottom face of the cube down). Then rotate it so that the right side of the cube is facing down. Then continue through the rest of the faces of the cube. * Hold the headphone in each position for 1 second * Once all the faces of the device have been rotated, set the headphone down on a stationary surface for 2 or 3 seconds.

  • What platforms can I use with my JBL Quantum ONE headset?

    The JBL Quantum ONE headset is compatible via 3.5mm jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR. You can use the USB connection with PC.

  • How to set up your microphone

    Ensure that only one voice chat application is in use while in-game. Be sure you hear a click when the microphone is flipped down. The microphone will only function when it is flipped down fully. If you see a red LED on the microphone, it is muted.

  • How do I clean my JBL Quantum ONE headset?

    You can clean it by wiping it gently with a damp cloth. Take extra care not to let water leak into the speaker chamber, as it will damage the speaker drivers. Please contact Customer Service with your product serial number to request a replacement unit. You can find the serial number underneath the ear cushion or on the left slider of the headset.

  • 7.1 Surround configuration set up guide

    To configure the 7.1 Surround feature on your PC, please follow the guide below:

    1. In the left corner on your screen right next to the Windows logo, click on the spy-glass to start a search on your PC.
    2. Type in Sound --> then select Change System Sounds:

    3. Make sure that your the Quantum Headphones is your Default Device for both Speakers ( Game ) and Earphone ( Communication device )

    JBL Quantum 400 and ONE are compatible with USB C to A cable to enjoy PS4 console with RGB Lighting on, and Quantum 600 and 800 with wireless-enabled by USB dongle also gives lighting moment on PS4 console games.

    *NOTE that RGB will not light up when connecting with 3.5mm cable to any device (PC, Console, Mobile, etc.) because the cable doesn't have power enough for the RBG lighting.

  • What’s the difference between JBL QuantumSURROUND and JBL QuantumSPHERE 360?

    JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 is JBL QuantumSURROUND that’s kicked up a notch by using a head-tracking sensor to fix sounds in 360 degrees of space around you. With typical headphones, when you move your head, the soundscape follows your movement. But with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, if you rotate your head, the sound source’s perceived location stays in place because the head-tracking sensor compensates for your head movement. For example, if there’s a sound coming from in front of you, and you turn your head to the left, the sound source’s perceived location moves to your right ear—the sound stays locked in space as you move your head. 

    Also, the human brain uses small head movements to distinguish if sound sources are behind or in front of us. The brain processes the differences between when a sound arrives at the left vs. the right ear to determine where the sound is located. So with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, you can move your head naturally to pinpoint the exact source of sounds around you. 

    JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 is only available with the JBL QuantumONE gaming headset.

    No, it is compatible with PC and Mac, but not with PS4, XBOX One, Nintendo Switch or Mobile.

  • Why are my headphones shown as “speakers” on Windows?

    The “Speaker” mode allows the JBL QuantumENGINE to receive more than two channels of audio. It also prevents some applications from adding extra signal processing intended for other headphones, which would negatively impact the performance of the JBL QuantumSURROUND or JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 technology.

  • Why do I need to use the calibration microphone included with my JBL Quantum ONE?

    We believe the baseline performance of the QuantumSPHERE technology is cutting edge in terms of localization. The calibration feature improves upon this performance by calibrating the system to your individual anatomy.

  • Non-removable microphone feature

    We've intentionally designed the flip-up boom mic to stay affixed to the headset. We know from experience that losing or breaking the detachable mic is never fun. Therefore, we designed the mic to fold neatly into the headset - this design also allows the mic to automatically mute when elevated.   • Why can't I hear my teammates?

    Make sure the volume control on the headset is turned up. Rotate the volume wheel on your headset to increase the volume. If you're connected to the PC via USB, check that the default communication device is selected under Control Panel > Sound > Playback. Select JBL Quantum ONE Chat, right-click, and select "Set as Default Commuication Device". Check your headset's game audio chat balance dial, and ensure that the balance is correct. Check the JBL Quantum ONE Chat device and make sure it is not muted or turned all the way down.

  • Does the JBL QuantumONE calibration mic calibrate both ears?

    Yes, the calibration is done for both left and right ears

  • Can I use the Game-Chat balance dial on my headset with all connections?

    The Game-Chat balance dial only works when your headset is powered on. Please note that it supports connection with a USB Type A to C cable and a wireless transmitter dongle, but doesn’t support connection through a 3.5mm cable or Bluetooth for mobile games.

  • Microphone Sound or Distortion Issues

    Make sure both the QuantumENGINE software and the headset's firmware is updated to the most recent version, and that the microphone is plugged all the way in.

  • The story behind our Quantum name

    We wanted the name to reflect this futuristic inspiration married with cutting-edge technology. The Quantum name was ultimately chosen as it conjures images of both the technology aspect through the advances in quantum computing but also a very organic feel with reference to quantum physics and the science behind building upon small elements to make massive improvements. 

  • The audio is not centered to my monitor, what should I do?

    You can either press the recenter button on the headset or on QuantumENGINE. Ensure that your head is perpendicular to the monitor before pressing the recentering button.

  • EQ Settings and Surround Information

    In order to adjust your EQ settings you must follow these instructions:   In your Windows 10 taskbar, right click on the volume icon. It should bring up your selected output device. If “Speakers (JBL Quantum *model* Game)” is not selected, please proceed to the next step. QUantum ONE.png
    In the upper right hand corner, select the arrow. This will display a list of output devices on your PC. Please select “Speakers (JBL Quantum *model* Game)” After selecting 'speakers' you will now be able to adjust your EQ settings to your preference. Quantum-one_2
  • Why can't I hear game or music audio?

  • How can I switch between Active Noise Cancellation, Smart Ambient (TalkThru) and off?

    Onboard Adaptive Noise Cancellation is controlled by the multi-function button on the rear of the left ear-cup. Switched on by default, you can SHORT press the multi-function button to toggle from ANC to talk-through. Turn off ANC by long-pressing the multi-function button.  

  • The volume level on my headphones is very quiet

    If your volume level is quiet, make sure that the TalkThru is not activated on your headphones. In order to deactivate or activate TalkThru, quickly press the ANC button located at the top of the LEFT ear cup. You will hear an audible voice stating, TalkThru On when activated, and 'ANC On' when deactivated.
  • How to switch between Active Noise Cancelling and TalkThru

    Onboard Active Noise Cancelling is controlled by the multi-function button on the rear of the left ear-cup. Switched on by default, you can SINGLE press the ANC button to toggle it On/Off  and LONG press to active TalkThru. Turn on ANC again by a single press on the multi-function button.
