  • This product uses a standard micro usb cable, which can be purchased from most any retailer.
  • First, it is very important that you use the correct size enhancers (rubber tips). While the tips may appear too large, these do not go all the way into your ear canal. The enhancers are supposed to fill the entire bowl (concha) of your ear, so please be sure to try both sizes to ensure a comfortable fit. To properly put them on, first make sure you have the Right and Left earbud in the correct ear. Next, gently insert the enhancer into your ear with a forward motion towards the jaw, twist and lock into place. If you’re unable to find a secure fit with both sizes in the box, we can send you a complimentary sizing pack with two additional sizes. Please email us from our Support Page at https://www.jbl.com/support-contact.html to request yours today.
  • First, it is very important that you use the correct size enhancers (rubber tips). This headphone features the TwistLock technology that is uniquely designed to fit in the bowl of the ear (vs. inner ear). They may look bigger than traditional earbuds, but this design provides the most secure fit to ensure they never fall-out in the most active workouts. To properly put them on, first make sure you have the Right and Left earbud in the correct ear. The number to indicate the enhancer size is featured on the inside of the enhancer next to the large L or R (left ear, right ear). Next, gently insert the enhancer into your ear with a forward motion towards the jaw, which should twist and lock the enhancer into place. These headphones come with 5 sizes of fit enhancers (4, 5, 6, 7 & 8) and 3 sizes of ear tips (small, medium & large). The fit enhancers sit in the bowl of your ear and are essential for a secure fit, while the ear tips are inserted in the inside of the ear canal and provide sound occlusion. The size 7 fit enhancer and large ear tip comes pre-installed on the headphone. If you experience discomfort wearing the size 7, try the next size down. If you try a smaller size and the headphones fall out easily or the enhancer does not extend fully to the back of the bowl of the ear, you should try a bigger size.
  • For the best performance, connect the speaker to a power outlet.

  • After the wake-up process is finished, and the radio alarm has been turned off by pressing the alarm button, it is necessary to press the radio button to keep the radio playing.
  • As the headphones are charging, you will see a red solid light indicator at the bottom LEFT ear cup. Once the unit is fully charged, the red light will turn off.
  • You will hear an audio prompt to readjust the position of the left ear piece stating “heart rate not detected, adjust ear bud position”. The sensor is also in the correct position when the green LED light is not visible from the outside of your ear.
  • By habit, we try to shove earbuds into our ear canals in attempts to get them to stay in. The 500 Series headphone is a completely different concept. The tip of the enhancer (ear tip) should funnel gently down into the ear canal and the base of the enhancer should fill the entire concha (bowl) of your ear. If there is still quite a bit of space between the back of the enhancer, and the back of the bowl of the ear, there is nothing to support it and it will eventually fall out. Typically larger sizes will fill the extra space inside the concha. We recommend trying both sizes featured in the packaging. If you are still experiencing fit issues, please reach out to your local JBL Customer Support for information regarding different sizing options.
  • Select the UA Sync icon in the upper right hand corner of the dashboard. If your headphones are connected, they will appear under "My Apps and Devices". Tap on "UA Sport Wireless Heart Rate" and you will see your headphones settings. Your headphones' battery life appears in the top left corner. If you have an IOS device, you also will be able to see the battery life indicator in the upper right hand corner next to the BT symbol. Additionally, you should hear the audible voice stating ‘low battery’ when you have 15-20 minutes left of battery life left on the headphones.
  • The Flip 3 SE has 5 white leds which shows the battery level when you power on the device. Each white led indicates around 20% battery level. When all of the white leds are off, and the last led is blinking red, you should recharge the battery.
  • When the headphones are charging, you will see a solid red light at the top of the inline microphone. When the headphones are fully charged, the red light will shut off. You should expect 8 hours of playback time. Please keep in mind that the level of volume can effect the longevity of the battery life.
  • After you set up Alexa and Google Assistant via the JBL One app, you will see examples of what you can do with each assistant. For more information on what each voice assistant does, visit Alexa Features or Explore Google Assistant
