  • Can I use both Windows and Apple computers to update my Everest headphones?
    The EVEREST models 100, 300 and 700 are all updated with the HID (Human Interface Device) tool, available in the download section for each model. This tool works with Windows computers only. The EVEREST ELITE models are updated with a USB tool available on the special Everest web page. This tool is available in both an Apple MAC OS version and a Windows version. This USB tool update is used for the first production run of ELITE models ONLY, and only once! All later production runs, and all updates after this first USB update, will take place wirelessly through the My JBL Headphone app, made for iOS and Android.
  • Can I use my E65BTNC as a noise-cancelling headset without music?
    Yes, you do not need to have music playing to keep the noise cancelling switched on. There may be a slight residual hiss from the NC system, which would usually be masked by music, but there will still be a significant reduction of external noise.
  • Can I use my Flip3 outside in rainy weather?
    Yes, this is no problem.
  • Can I use my TUNE600BTnc as noise-reduction headset without music?
    Yes, you can activate the noise reduction circuits alone, with no connection to a source device by Bluetooth or cable. The headphones will stay on as long as there is power in the battery, which is close to 30 hours for pure NC function. Please note that there is a slight residual noise from the NC system, which will be drowned out by music playing, or by surrounding noise such as airplane noise. If you use the NC in surroundings that are near quiet to begin with, you may not get an improvement in noise level.
  • Can I use my Xtreme outside in rainy weather?
    Yes, this is no problem.
  • Can I use Noise-Cancelling on my JBL LIVE 650BTNC without music?
    Yes, no problem.
  • Can I use SIRI with the Reflect Aware remote control?
    Yes, press and hold the remote button with the round dot (between volume up and volume down) for for about three seconds. Your iPhone will confirm with a tone that SIRI is ready for voice input.
  • Can I use the Arena Sub 100P in multiple regions?
    Yes, the Arena Sub 100P can be used in multiple regions. The subwoofer’s power requirement ranges from 100 volts – 240 volts, 50/60 hertz. As long as you have an adapter to properly plug the speaker into various wall outlets, the Arena Sub 100P will work anywhere in the world.
  • Can I use the AUX or Optical Input on Boost TV to make JBL Connect send TV sound to another JBL Speaker?
    Only Bluetooth pairing can be used for JBL Connect on Boost TV.
  • Can I use the Everest Noise Cancelling feature while plugged into a device with my audio cable or flight adapter?
    No. The only way that the Noise Cancellation feature can be activated is while you are using the headphones wirelessly. You cannot use NC while the headphones are plugged into a device or charging.
  • Can I use the Game-Chat balance dial on my headset with all connections?
    The Game-Chat balance dial only works when your headset is powered on. Please note that it supports connection with a USB Type A to C cable and a wireless transmitter dongle, but doesn’t support connection through a 3.5mm cable or Bluetooth for mobile games.

  • Can I use the JBL Quantum 800 in USB mode
    The JBL Quantum 800 can only be used via a 3.5mm, Bluetooth, or 2.4Ghz wireless connection.
  • Can I use the OR100 without the Oculus Rift?
    Unfortunately, the OR100 are specifically designed for the Oculus Rift only. You cannot use these headphones on other devices.
  • Can I use the OR 300 without the Oculus Rift?
    No, the OR 300 headphones are specifically made for the Oculus Rift. These headphones will not work with any other device.
  • Can I use the Soundgear with its BTA 20 Bluetooth transmitter with all kinds of sources?
    Yes, all sources that output analog stereo line-level signals or stereo audio optical digital signals may be used, cable-connected to the BTA 20 transmitter. Digital signals must be in PCM format. So if you have a CD player or an FM radio, you can connect the BTA 20 to it, and transmit to your Soundgear (or to other Bluetooth headphones that support the format). Please note that record players need an additional preamplifier to work this way. Of course a TV set can be connected as well, either via optical digital PCM output, via line outputs or via headphone output.
  • Can I use the speaker/soundbar without the App?
    Yes, however, the JBL ONE App gives you another level of control over the speaker/soundbar.
    Through the App, you can personalize the performance, such as:
    • Customizing EQ settings
    • Setting up our new feature called: My Moment 
    • Connect your favorite streaming music services.
  • Can I use the Voice Assistants without internet?

    -       No, your Voice Assistant operates in the cloud and needs to be connected to the internet. .

  • Can I Wear the Earphones in the Rain?
    Although the product is Water Resistant and Sweat Resistant, continuous exposure to water over an extended period of time may damage your earphones.

  • Can I wirelessly link JBL Flip 4 together with JBL Flip 3, Pulse 2 or Xtreme?
    No, JBL Flip 4 can wirelessly link with JBL Connect+ compatible speakers only. Currently, the Flip 4, Pulse 3 and Charge 3 ( after a firmware upgrade ) have the JBL Connect+ feature
  • Can JBL Soundgear be used with a TV or with video games?
    Yes, you can use your Soundgear for TV watching or playing video games. You can use the TV speakers and the Soundgear simultaneously, they will be synchronized in time.
  • Can my 110 volt component perform if plugged into a 220 volt outlet?
    These units do not offer multi-voltage power supplies. However, you can use a domestic 110 volt component overseas with the addition of a step-down transformer, available at most electronics stores.
  • Can my headphones be connected to two devices simultaneously?
    Yes, the headphones have Multipoint Connection, which allows you to switch seamlessly between the connected devices.
