  • What works better for stereo listening, in-wall or in-ceiling speaker?
    In-wall speakers will work better for stereo listening because the speaker will be facing directly at you instead of above you. Note: Stereo imaging requires the listening position (“sweet spot”) to be dead center, equal distance, from the front left and right speakers.
  • What to do if teammates can't hear you?

    If your teammates can not hear you, make sure of the following:

    USB is correctly plugged in
    Only one voice chat application is in use while in-game.
    The mic input is set to JBL Quantum Stream.
    Mic gain is not turned all the way down
    Mic is not muted (mute/unmute by pressing the touch panel on top of the mic). By default the RBG will indicate red for muted, and green for unmuted(active).

     

  • What smartphones and MP3 players are compatible with the 3-button controls and dry mic on the Inspire® Pro and the Focus® Pro?
    The Inspire Pro and the Focus Pro Performance Fit earphones both feature a dry microphone and 3-button control remote. These features allow convenient navigation of music on your iPod® or iPhone® during rigorous activity even during extended use. The components within the 3-button control/ dry mic® are specifically selected for compatibility with: iPhone® (3GS, 4, 4S, 5), iPod® (120GB & 160GB classic; 4th, 5th, & 6th generation nano; 3rd & 4th generation shuffle), iPod® Touch (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation) and iPad® (1, 2, 3, 4). Some features may work with other devices.
  • What size speakers do you recommend for best sound performance?
    It's matter of preference and choice, but our biggest speaker, Arena 180, will have the most powerful sound , but also requires some space. Our bookshelf speakers, Arena 120 & Arena 130, are also a nice addition to your home system, and will also provide powerful sound. These can be wall-mounted, which you might prefer over floor standing speakers. All of the Arena series will provide a good audio experience, so you won't go empty handed with any of them!
  • What size of enhancers come on this model?
    The standard size that comes on all Endurance Series models is the size 5. There are other sizes 6, 7, and 8 available on the yurbuds accessories and enhancers page that you can purchase for $10. Shipping and Handling is included.
  • What platforms can I use with my JBL Quantum TWS?

    The JBL Quantum TWS supports two types of wireless connection at the same time. It's compatible with any Bluetooth compatible devices while the USB wireless dongle enables compatibility with PC/Mac, PS4/5, Nintendo SwitchTM, TV and iPads and AndroidTM devices with USB-Connection (Note: Type-C supports PS5 while type-A is compatible with all PlayStationTM model).

  • What platforms can I use with my JBL Quantum ONE headset?
    The JBL Quantum ONE headset is compatible via 3.5mm jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR. You can use the USB connection with PC.

    The Smart Case only supports English, so even if you change the language in the JBL Headphones app, it will remain in English.

  • What kind of enhancers come on the ITX 2000?
    The ITX models come with two sizes: size 5 and the larger size 7. They are referred to as the Limited Edition lock tongue and groove enhancers. You can purchase two pairs for $10 on the Yurbuds accessories and enhancers page.
  • What kind of data does JBL LINK 10, 20, 300 or 500 collect?
    Only data to make Google Assistant more efficient and Google services faster. When interacting with the speaker you will receive more personalized feedback in the future.
  • What JBL QuantumENGINE features can I use with my JBL Quantum Stream microphone?

    The JBL Quantum Stream microphone is compatible with the JBL QuantumENGINE software. You can customize or use the following settings/features via the JBL QuantumENGINE:

    Headphones are tuned on a finely calibrated, standardized fixture to meet our target sound profile – but our heads are not finely tuned, calibrated fixtures so the sound we actually hear is different from the designed curve due to variations in how the headphones fit on each of us, meaning most people do not hear the target sound of the headphone.    Harman’s TruNote auto calibration technology is a patented algorithm that calibrates the sound of the headphone to each individual by measuring the unique fit of the headphone to the user.  The system automatically adjusts the sound of the headphone, creating a personalized equalization that restores the sound of headphone to the design target.   • What is this new simultaneous voice assistant experience?

    Now, with Google Assistant and Alexa available simultaneously on your JBL Authentics speakers, you can choose to use one or both voice services available. This means you can set up just Alexa, just Google Assistant, or both. If you choose to set up both services, they will be at the ready. You can use either of them whenever you want simply by saying either “Hey Google” or “Alexa”.

  • What is the wearing style of the Soundgear Sense?

    Soundgear Sense provides two wearing styles, either as regular TWS headphones with an ear hook for a secure fit, or as a neckband headphone with the optional detachable neckband. Both wearing styles offer the same open ear experience with rich, full-range sound, it is just a matter of your own preference or use case which wearing style you choose. 

  • What is the voltage and power consumption
    Voltage is 100 - 240 Volt AC. Maximum power consumption is 120 Watts.
  • What is the USB connection on the back of the product for?
    This connection is intended for software and service updates only.

    The range is approximately 10 meters, depending on the environment.
  • What is the purpose of the audio level adjustment on in-wall/in-ceiling speakers?
    The audio level adjustment is a dedicated control for adjusting the tweeter’s high frequency volume. It allows you attenuate up to 3dB, based on your environment and/or preference.
  • What is the purpose of having dual tweeters on a speaker?
    Speakers will dual tweeters gives listeners the ability to have a single speaker to drive two independent channels, ideally stereo left and right. Dual tweeter speakers are usually used for in-ceiling audio applications. They have four terminals (two sets of positives and negatives) used to plug in speaker wires from the amplifier.
  • What is the procedure to reset Xtreme?
    With the speaker ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. You will need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again.
  • What is the length?
    JBL Bar 9.1 is 884 mm (without the surrounds in charging position). Surrounds add approx. 160 mm on each side, in charging position.

  • What is the difference between the Studio 2 and Arena Architectural speaker series?
    Apart from the driver materials, both the Studio 2 and Arena architectural speakers are quite the same. However, the Studio 2 series does deliver better high frequency versatility, thanks to the pivoting and level adjusting feature for the tweeter. The pivoting feature allows you to position/direct the tweeter toward the listening area. The level adjusting feature allows you to tune the high frequency (Zero to -3dB) as needed. These features are also available on select Harman Luxury Architectural speakers (Revel) as well.
  • What is the difference between the SB 250 and SB 350?
    The SB 250 has optical and auxiliary connections, while the SB 350 has both connections along with HDMI ARC. The SB 250 has the JBL SoundShift feature (one-button switch between TV and Bluetooth connection), while the SB 350 does not. Compared to the SB 250, the SB 350 has a more powerful subwoofer amplifier. The bigger amp will provide listeners with more bass response.
  • What is the difference between the Inspire 500 and the Inspire 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the Focus 500 and the Focus 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the first and second generation of Under Armour headphones?
    Wireless: Old name is Headphone Wireless. New name is Sport Wireless. Body is re-designed, the new body is smaller in diameter, but a bit longer. Angle of sound tube is changed slightly. Audio performance is improved. Enhancers slightly changed. Heartrate: Old name is Headphone Wireless Heartrate. New name is Sport Wireless Heartrate. Construction and design are unchanged.
  • What is the difference between the Endurance Sprint and Endurance Jump?
    The Endurance Jump features the power hook which provides a secure fit ear hook design, which automatically turns the power on/off when putting on or taking off the earphones. The Sprint does not feature the power hook and you manually have to turn on/off the headphones by pressing and holding the JBL logo on the RIGHT ear hook.
  • What is the difference between the cable with silver and the cable with black plugs?
    Since there is no fixed standard for headphone connections, there are two cables in the box, with different polarity. If one cable does not give good audio results, try the other cable. This usually solves the problem. The majority of phone models (Apple, Samsung from Galaxy S2 model, LG, HTC, Sony, Motorola, Blackberry) require the audio cable with the silver plugs. Pin assignment in this cable from the tip of the plug: R/L/Ground/Microphone. However, some manufacturers, such as some models from Nokia, require a cable with different pin assignment, (R/L/Microphone/Ground). In this case, you should use the audio cable with the black plugs.
  • What is the difference between the 5000 and the 10000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery has a capacity of 5000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, so half of the voltage, which will give you 37Wh - equivalent to a 10.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V
  • What is the difference between the 10.000 and the 20.000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery in Boombox has a capacity of 10.000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, half the storage voltage, which will give you 74Wh - equivalent to a 20.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V.
  • What is the difference between Soundgear and Soundgear BTA?
    The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.
  • What is the difference between Quantum SPHERE 360 and Quantum SPATIAL 360?
    You can get the professional sound precision and accuracy with head-tracking enhanced JBL QuantumSPHERE 360™ on your PC while gaining sound immersion with JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360™ on your platform. JBL QuantumSPHERE 360™ is accessed through the USB-C dongle/adaptor on your PC passing through the QuantumENGINE. The JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360™ is accessed on consoles through the USB-C dongle/adaptor works without the JBL QuantumENGINE.
  • What is the difference between JBL Go 3/Clip 4 and JBL Go 3 ECO/Clip 4 ECO?

    The difference is that the new ECO versions of Go 3 and Clip 4 are made from 90% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic and wrapped in 100% recycled fabric on the speaker grille, while still delivering the same rich JBL Original Pro Sound and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the product.

  • What is the difference between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0a?
    You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.
  • What is the difference between EVEREST 100, 300 and 700 models?
    100 is in-ear, 300 is on-ear, 700 is over-ear.
  • What is the default function of the "Smart" button, before any changes have been done in the app?
    The Smart button activates Ambient aware settings: Off, Low, High.
  • What is the clip in the headphones box used for?
    A clip has been included to help ensure the best fit and security of the headphones. Placing the clip on the audio cord and attaching to the top back of your shirt you should be able to twist your head right and left without the clip pulling your ear.
  • What is the Bluetooth Range?
    The Bluetooth range varies. However, you should get up to 15 meters (just under 50 ft) when using the product indoors. If you are using the headphones outside, conditions vary based on surroundings and body mass. For the best connectivity results, please make sure that the device you are paired to is in the front of your body.
  • What is the best way to insert the ear tips?
    We recommend inserting the ear tips (L for left, R for right located at the end of the ear tip extension) in the ear first and then proceed to wrap the ear loop around your ear. Please make sure to try all three sizes to insure the most comfortable fit.
  • What is the battery life expectancy for Clip2?
    Up to 8 hours of play time, depending on how loud you play and the source material.
  • What is the "Software" connection on the back of the product?
    This connection is intended for software and service updates only.
  • What is social mode?
    If social mode is switched on, it is possible to connect up to three source devices. Either device can take over playing. It is the last source-device which presses play, which plays music.
  • What is Smart Talk?

    When you need to talk to someone in person while wearing headphones, the advanced built in voice recognition algorithms react to your voice, automatically pauses the music, and enables TalkThru if you just speak. Music and ANC resume after the conversation is over. There is no need to pause the music manually or remove the headphones - start talking and let the technology do the rest. You can extend the duration of Smart Talk in the JBL Headphones app when no voice is detected.

  • What is Proposition 65?
    What is Proposition 65? Proposition 65 (“Prop 65”) is a California law that requires businesses to provide a warning before exposing individuals in California to any of 900-plus chemicals that California lists as a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant (“Prop 65 List”).   • What is Low Volume Dynamic EQ and what are the benefits with this feature?

    The Low Volume Dynamic EQ feature can optimize EQ, boosts low and high frequencies to maintain the same high-fidelity performance at low volume. When you listen to music in low volume, the whole music dynamic will be decreased due to low and high frequency volume reduction. Some music is best to enjoy at a higher volume, but this approach can hurt your ears. With Low Volume Dynamic EQ, you can still receive an enjoyable music experience even in low or high volume, and still protect your ears without compromising on the listening experience.

  • What is HDCP 2.2?
    HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. In short term, this is used to protect 4K material from illegal pirating. Every device in your chain system, must support HDCP 2.2, meaning if your 4K Blue-Ray player has HDCP 2.2, then your Soundbar must support it (SB450 does) and TV as well, or else you won't see any 4K material. In case your TV do not support HDCP 2.2, then it will downscale to 1080P content, this is done by the Blue-Ray player.
  • What is Dolby Atmos and what does it do?
    Dolby Atmos is a 3D surround sound format.
    Using Dolby Atmos, the soundbar can reproduce multi-channel surround sound, including a virtual height channel. 
    Note: This feature only applies to Dolby Audio content.

  • What is Connect and how does it work?
    The JBL Connect technology links two JBL Connect enabled speakers wirelessly to each other, so the play the same music. This is done by pressing the Connect button on both devices.
