  • What is Proposition 65?
    What is Proposition 65? Proposition 65 (“Prop 65”) is a California law that requires businesses to provide a warning before exposing individuals in California to any of 900-plus chemicals that California lists as a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant (“Prop 65 List”). The list is available at: https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/proposition-65-list. The law includes specific warning language that can be used by businesses to comply. The specific warning language is called a “safe harbor.” Why is Harman including this warning? The chemicals in products that require the Prop 65 warning can vary based on product type. Many of the chemicals on the Prop 65 List are common additives found in products such as jewelry, lamps, ceramic tableware, food, lead crystal glasses, electric cords, automobiles, beauty products, and furniture. Does this law apply everywhere? No, Prop 65 warnings are only required under California law. Are Harman products that display the Proposition 65 warning safe? Harman is committed to making products that comply with all applicable laws and that are safe to use. California’s Prop 65 is not a product safety law, but a chemical right-to-know law. We believe our products are safe when used as intended. I purchased this product outside of California, why does it include a Prop 65 warning? Harman sells products throughout the U.S. We do not know where each item will ship. We have no alternative except to place the Prop 65 warning on all of our products regardless of where they are sold.   • What is Smart Talk?

    When you need to talk to someone in person while wearing headphones, the advanced built in voice recognition algorithms react to your voice, automatically pauses the music, and enables TalkThru if you just speak. Music and ANC resume after the conversation is over. There is no need to pause the music manually or remove the headphones - start talking and let the technology do the rest. You can extend the duration of Smart Talk in the JBL Headphones app when no voice is detected.

  • What is social mode?
    If social mode is switched on, it is possible to connect up to three source devices. Either device can take over playing. It is the last source-device which presses play, which plays music.
  • What is the "Software" connection on the back of the product?
    This connection is intended for software and service updates only.
  • What is the battery life expectancy for Clip2?
    Up to 8 hours of play time, depending on how loud you play and the source material.
  • What is the best way to insert the ear tips?
    We recommend inserting the ear tips (L for left, R for right located at the end of the ear tip extension) in the ear first and then proceed to wrap the ear loop around your ear. Please make sure to try all three sizes to insure the most comfortable fit.
  • What is the Bluetooth Range?
    The Bluetooth range varies. However, you should get up to 15 meters (just under 50 ft) when using the product indoors. If you are using the headphones outside, conditions vary based on surroundings and body mass. For the best connectivity results, please make sure that the device you are paired to is in the front of your body.
  • What is the clip in the headphones box used for?
    A clip has been included to help ensure the best fit and security of the headphones. Placing the clip on the audio cord and attaching to the top back of your shirt you should be able to twist your head right and left without the clip pulling your ear.
  • What is the default function of the "Smart" button, before any changes have been done in the app?
    The Smart button activates Ambient aware settings: Off, Low, High.
  • What is the difference between EVEREST 100, 300 and 700 models?
    100 is in-ear, 300 is on-ear, 700 is over-ear.
  • What is the difference between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0a?
    You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.
  • What is the difference between JBL Go 3/Clip 4 and JBL Go 3 ECO/Clip 4 ECO?

    The difference is that the new ECO versions of Go 3 and Clip 4 are made from 90% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic and wrapped in 100% recycled fabric on the speaker grille, while still delivering the same rich JBL Original Pro Sound and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the product.
