The 5-1/4-inch (133-millimetre), two-way loudspeaker will drown out road noise, with separate woofer and tweeter modules plus an external crossover to ensure improved frequency response. A proprietary Plus One® (U.S. patent no. 7,548,631) woofer cone handles low-frequency signals and delivers more bass energy than competitive drivers of the same size, while a titanium-laminate tweeter produces bright, distinctive high-frequency sound. The loudspeaker’s vented motor structure also effectively dissipates unwanted heat, thereby enabling loud, continuous sound performance on the road. Its frequency response is 70Hz to 20kHz, nominal impedance 4 ohms and sensitivity (2.83 volts / 1 metre) 92 decibels.
