  • What does the Moment button do?

  • What do the leds indicate on my JBL Boombox?
    Power button, no light: Product is OFF. Power button, constant light: Product is ON. Power button: constant white, when no Bluetooth device connected. Power button, flashing blue in Bluetooth pairing mode. Power button, constant blue light: Bluetooth connected. Battery indicator LEDs: Five LEDs show battery level. When charging, the blinking LED shows how far charging has progressed. When fully charged, the LED lights will turn off. JBL Connect button flashes white in connection mode. When connected: constant light.
  • What else can I do with the QuantumENGINE?
    You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, calibrate Quantum ONE headtracking, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.
  • What happens if you have multiple JBL LINK speakers, will all react to "Hey Google" or "OK Google"?
    All speakers are set to react when you use the keywords to interact with Google. To eliminate multiple speakers talking at the same time, using the "Microphone Mute" button will stop the speaker from reacting to the keywords.
  • What is connect+?
    JBL Connect+ can wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ enabled speakers together to amplify the party
  • What is Dolby Atmos and what does it do?
    Dolby Atmos is a 3D surround sound format.
    Using Dolby Atmos, the soundbar can reproduce multi-channel surround sound, including a virtual height channel.

  • What is the difference between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0a?
    You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.
  • What is the difference between Soundgear and Soundgear BTA?
    The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.
  • What is the difference between the 10.000 and the 20.000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery in Boombox has a capacity of 10.000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, half the storage voltage, which will give you 74Wh - equivalent to a 20.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V.
  • What is the difference between the Focus 500 and the Focus 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the Inspire 500 and the Inspire 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the distance between wall-mounts on JBL BAR soundbars
    The distance between wall-mounts centers are: JBL BAR Studio: 45 cm. JBL BAR 2.1: 70 cm. JBL BAR 3.1: 70 cm. JBL BAR 5.1: 61 cm JBL BAR 5.1 Surround: 71.85 cm JBL BAR 9.1: 55,5 cm
  • What is the latest software version available for Flip 3?
    Software version v.7.9 is the latest for the Flip 3
  • What is the length?
    JBL Bar 9.1 is 884 mm (without the surrounds in charging position). Surrounds add approx. 160 mm on each side, in charging position.
  • What is the procedure to reset Xtreme?
    With the speaker ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. You will need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again.
  • What is the requirement for the JBL Everest GA series?
    These are the supported languages for the Everest GA series.
    • English (US, UK, CA, IN, AU)
    • German
    • French (CA, FR)
    • Japanese
    • Portuguese (BR)

  • What is Window Sonic Spatial Surround Sound?

  • What platforms can I use with my JBL Quantum ONE headset?
    The JBL Quantum ONE headset is compatible via 3.5mm jack with PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Mobile, Mac and VR. You can use the USB connection with PC.
  • What you need to get started with your device

    Getting started with the checklist

    • A JBL LINK device(s).
    • Latest version of the Google Home appGoogle Home app installed on your mobile device.
    • Latest version of the Google app  (Android only) installed on your mobile device.
    • A Google Account (you can create one online via Google).
    • A mobile device with either iOS or Android support.
      • ​Must have iOS 10 or higher
      • Must have Android 5.0 and higher
      • There is no support for PC set up.
    • An internet connection from your local ISP (Internet Service Provider).
    • Your Wireless Network must secured with WPA2 Encryption (Enterprise mode NOT supported). 
    • Availability and performance of certain features, services and applications are device- and network-dependent and may not be available in all areas; subscription(s) may be required, and additional terms, conditions and/or charges may apply.

    Wi-Fi requirement

    • Wi-Fi routers must have Encryption enabled to install JBL LINK speakers (WPA2 etc).
    • Wi-Fi Extenders need to feature support of Multicast forwarding and UPnP.
    • Always use 5 GHz Wi-Fi for best performance and less interference.
    • For routers that have 2.4G Wi-Fi support only, make sure that they are using channels 1, 6 or 11 only.

  • What’s the difference between JBL QuantumSURROUND and JBL QuantumSPHERE 360?
    JBL QuantumSPHERE 360 is JBL QuantumSURROUND that’s kicked up a notch by using a head-tracking sensor to fix sounds in 360 degrees of space around you. With typical headphones, when you move your head, the soundscape follows your movement. But with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, if you rotate your head, the sound source’s perceived location stays in place because the head-tracking sensor compensates for your head movement. For example, if there’s a sound coming from in front of you, and you turn your head to the left, the sound source’s perceived location moves to your right ear—the sound stays locked in space as you move your head. 

    Also, the human brain uses small head movements to distinguish if sound sources are behind or in front of us. The brain processes the differences between when a sound arrives at the left vs. the right ear to determine where the sound is located. So with JBL QuantumSPHERE 360, you can move your head naturally to pinpoint the exact source of sounds around you. 
  • When I connect JBL DRG with my head unit via Bluetooth, the audio stream will be interrupted and I can hear “papapa…” noise when play music.
    • Please check whether your head unit Bluetooth support EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) • If the head unit does not support EDR this will cause the transfer data rate to be low and will impact the audio quality.
  • When I connect my JBL speaker with a computer (PC/Laptop/Apple Mac/Nintendo Switch), can I use the PartyBoost feature?
    The PartyBoost feature is not available when your JBL speaker is connected to a computer via Bluetooth. This is a technical limitation. When connected to a computer, the computer is acting as the primary device. Therefore, the JBL speaker does not have control of re-transmitting the Bluetooth signal to other JBL speakers.

    NOTE: Speakers effected by this are the JBL Flip 5, JBL Flip 6, JBL Charge 5, JBL Pulse 4, JBL Xtreme 3, and JBL Boombox 2, as well as all future products featuring the PartyBoost feature.
  • When I put smart phone on the Smartbase wireless charge arm, it doesn’t charge.
    The wireless charge receiver in the smartphone may not be adequately coupled to the wireless charging transmitter on Smartbase. Re-adjust your smart phone’s position on the wireless charge arm.
  • When I transfer the audio from JBL DRG to my head unit via AUX, I can hear noise from the speakers.
    Some vehicles don’t provide an isolated ground for the head unit which may introduce noise. Please connect your smartphone to JBL DRG and enable the “Aux Noise Cancel” button in the App. This can be found right after Aux Line option in Connection Mode section.
  • When I transfer the audio from JBL DRG to my head unit via AUX, I can’t hear anything.
    Some head units in the vehicles use isolated grand, if JBL DRG use isolated grand as well, this will disable the chips inside DRG. Please connect your smartphone with JBL DRG and disable the “Aux Noise Cancel” button in the Apps right after Aux Line option in Connection Mode section.
  • When I try to pair my Focus 700 to my device, the Focus 500 is displayed on my discoverable devices. Is this normal?
    What you are experiencing is normal. The Focus 700 is actually the Focus 500 headphone but with the added bonus of a charging case.
  • When I try to pair my Inspire 700 to my device, the Inspire 500 is displayed on my discoverable devices. Is this normal?
    What you are experiencing is normal. The Inspire 700 is actually the Inspire 500 headphone but with the added bonus of a charging case.
  • When using the JBL One app to set up my speaker, my Wi-Fi network is not appearing in the list. How can I connect to my Wi-Fi network?
    You can manually type in the network name (SSID) and password to connect if the network does not appear.
  • When you experience Bluetooth issues.
    NOTE:  LINK speakers must be set up on a WiFi network before Bluetooth can be activated. Once it is set up, you can use Bluetooth anywhere (Unless you reset the speaker and start all over with installation).

    Pairing issues with a Smartphone or Tablet:
    1. First try to restart the Bluetooth connection on your source device (Smartphone/tablet) by switching Bluetooth off and on again with a short pause in between.
    2. Forget previous paired connection (on your smartphone/tablet) in your Bluetooth settings if you once had paired with our product.
    3. Try to restart source device(Smartphone/tablet) by powering it off and on again, and after restart try to establish a Bluetooth connection to your JBL LINK device.
    4. If above does not work, then try to restart your JBL LINK device by turning it off and on again.
    5. Press and hold down the Bluetooth button on your JBL LINK device to initiate pairing mode again.
    6. Go into Bluetooth settings on your Smartphone/tablet.
    7. Perform a restart or reset if you are not able to connect after above steps.
