Designed to perfectly integrate with the latest flat-panel and plasma televisions, the JBL Cinema Sound; CST56 brings JBL's professional experience to your home. Proprietary JBL technology, such as PolyPlas;-reinforced woofers and titanium-laminate tweeters mounted in Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal; (EOS;) waveguides, means your favorite music and movies sound just as the artist intended. The CST56 features a black enclosure with a high-gloss-black front panel and black grille to complement any living environment.
Stiffer cones deliver more uniform pistonic motion for deeper, tighter bass and improved midrange tones. PolyPlas™ coating gives the JBL® CST56’s cones maximum-impact JBL® audio. You’ll experience serious, feel-it-in-your-bones bass and cinema sound that does justice to a great HDTV picture.
The HeatScape™ motor structure envelops the JBL® CST56’s voice coil with a large ceramic magnet and a steel frame. It protects the voice coil by dissipating heat away from it to increase power handling and give you extremely low levels of harmonic distortion.
The JBL® CST56’s thin but rigid titanium-laminate tweeter delivers accurate high-frequency response, even when the volume is way up. The end result is full, clear, tight reproduction of sound. And there’s a seamless transition between the middle and high frequencies.
Elliptical Oblate Spheroidal TM (EOS) waveguides, originally developed for JBL® Professional LSR studio monitors, disperse the JBL® CST56’s clean high-frequency sound precisely across a wide listening area. There’s no “sweet spot.” Sit wherever you want.
By providing the shortest possible route from the input terminals to the transducers, the JBL® CST56’s proprietary crossover design minimizes noise and signal loss. So you’ll hear everything your TV and music sources can dish out.
At 55Hz to 30kHz, with 90dB sensitivity, nothing is over- or under-emphasized by the JBL® CST56. You get a true, full sound range from deep bass tones to ultrahigh frequencies.
