  • PartyBoost Stereo Pair Proximity Issues With Other Speakers

If you create a Stereo Pair using the JBL Portable App and you come within range of additional PartyBoost compatible speakers while they are ON, the app will find these speakers. This will break the stereo pair and create a mono PartyBoost group that includes all active speakers that are in proximity. This only happens when the JBL Portable App is actively running on the source device, including when it is running in the background, and when these other speakers are ON. To avoid this scenario, make sure the app is completely closed, without running in the background before coming near any additional PartyBoost speakers that happen to be ON.

NOTE: The Portable App does not need to be running in order to enjoy Stereo sound from two speakers

My device is waterproof, but what about salt water or chlorine water?
Your JBL speaker is waterproof with IPX7 rating. (IPX7 means it can survive immersion in 1 meter/3.3 feet for up to 30 minutes.) To maintain the looks and functions of your speaker, please make sure to rinse it with fresh water after using it at a swimming pool or the ocean, then dry off all covers and areas where water can gather. The standard for waterproofing is for tap water. Chemicals and salt in your pool or the ocean can damage the waterproof seals or harm the surface finish over time if not rinsed off after use.
Does my Speaker have Speakerphone/Voice Assistant Functionality?
This product does not feature speakerphone or voice assistant functionality as it does not have a microphone.

  • If I pair my Bluetooth speaker to my phone, and record a video with the phone, will the speaker's microphone serve as audio source?
No, all recordings made on the telephone will be using the telephone's built-in microphone. Replay of the recording will be heard over the speaker afterwards, though, as long as it is paired to the telephone.
After I updated my computer to Windows 8/10, I am no longer able to establish a Bluetooth connection with my speaker to play music. How can I correct the problem?
This is because most Windows do not support A2DP stereo audio streaming via Bluetooth, the standard for music-listening through Bluetooth. The system will support keyboards, mice, printers etc. via Bluetooth, but not audio. It is necessary to download the proper drivers, either from the computer manufacturer, the software manufacturer or the manufacturer of the Bluetooth chip in the computer. Help to do this must be sought with the companies that supply one or more of these computer features.
    Is the case waterproof?
The case handle light rain and snow, but will not be waterproof if submerged into water.
Can the case be used to carry accessories with the speaker?
No. The case can only be used to carry the speaker.

You can connect two of the same Partybox models (e.g. 2 x Partybox 310, or 2 x Partybox 100) together in TWS Mode by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button on both speakers for 5 seconds, or by pressing the dedicated TWS buttons on the rear panels of both speakers on the Partybox 110, 310 and 710. It is possible to pair two different Partybox models together using a wired connection (e.g. 1 x Partybox 310 and 1 x Partybox 100). It is also possible to pair two Partybox different models wirelessly in Party mode, however this is only possible with the newer Partybox models - the Partybox 110, 310 and 710. If you connect an instrument or microphone to one Partybox speaker while using TWS, the instrument or microphone connected to one speaker will be reproduced by this speaker alone. You will not hear the instrument or microphone in both speakers. If it is necessary to have instruments reproduced by two or more PartyBox speakers, it is possible to use an RCA or aux cable – connected from the RCA, aux or daisy chain outputs on the speaker that the instrument or microphone is connected to, wired to the RCA, aux or daisy chain input of the secondary speaker. Alternatively a small mixing console can be used - connecting audio sources to this mixer and sending the mixed audio signal to the speakers with a wired connection.

  • The JBL Micro Wireless is not completely mute when I turn the volume on a Bluetooth source unit to minimum.

When my connected Bluetooth device goes out of range, I cannot connect JBL Micro Wireless with a new Bluetooth device immediately.
When a connected Bluetooth device goes out of range, the JBL Micro Wireless will try to reconnect to it for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes the Micro Wireless can connect to other Bluetooth devices again.
  • What is the difference between JBL Go 3/Clip 4 and JBL Go 3 ECO/Clip 4 ECO?

The difference is that the new ECO versions of Go 3 and Clip 4 are made from 90% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic and wrapped in 100% recycled fabric on the speaker grille, while still delivering the same rich JBL Original Pro Sound and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the product.

  • How can I see that the device is fully charged?
When the Xtreme is ON, the row of 5 diodes at the bottom of the front will light up in turn, with the top flashing LED showing how far charging has progressed. When full charge has been reached, all diodes light constantly. In some cases, the fifth diode keeps on blinking, but does not light up constantly, no matter how long charging continues. Sometimes it will show constant light after charging has been stopped. This is normal, caused by tolerances in the circuits, and is no cause for alarm. The battery is charged to the same level. If the Xtreme is OFF, no diodes will light when full charge has been reached.

Issues with the JBL Portable App and your Android device
There might be several reasons that our Portable app may not be working correctly on your Android device. First, your Android device must have 5.0 OS (Operating system) or higher to support JBL Connect app. Devices under 5.0 OS will not be supported. If you are having trouble viewing your JBL Portable device in the app, please disable Bluetooth, and then turn it back on again. Now you should be able to see your device in the JBL Portable app.

PartyBoost Stereo Pair Proximity Issues With Other Speakers

    Indoor/Outdoor Mode

The new Boombox 2 does not feature the Indoor/Outdoor Mode. With the first generation Boombox, the Outdoor Mode was loud, but lacking sufficient bass. The Boombox 2 has both improved bass and loudness to create the perfect balanced sound for all environments.

  • What is the procedure to reset Xtreme?
With the speaker ON, press and hold the VOL+ and Pause/Play buttons for 5-6 seconds. The Xtreme shuts down, and is now reset. You will need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again.
