JBL Flip
Room-filling JBL sound from a compact stereo speaker.
Introducing the JBL Flip portable wireless stereo speaker system. Ready to play wherever you go, it’s compact and portable, but don’t let its small size fool you. With two 1-5/8-inch (40-millimetre) drivers, a built-in bass port to produce serious bass and digital signal processing (DSP) to generate room-filling audio, it delivers full-range JBL® sound with exceptional bass. In addition, this blend of power and portability has Bluetooth® capability, so it can connect wirelessly to any Bluetooth-equipped device – which means that it is an ideal wireless speaker for smartphones and tablets. This system also offers up to 5 hours of playback time from its built-in Li-ion (lithium-ion) rechargeable battery, with an LED indicator that tells you when to recharge – and when the speaker’s in Bluetooth listening or pairing mode. Through this speaker, which includes a microphone and call-answer button, you can even answer phone calls. With performance that comparably priced products can’t match, the JBL Flip is the ultimate wireless, portable stereo speaker for any environment.

FAQs & How-Tos
After I updated my computer to Windows 8/10, I am no longer able to establish a Bluetooth connection with my speaker to play music.
How can I correct the problem?
This is because most Windows do not support A2DP stereo audio streaming via Bluetooth, the standard for music-listening through Bluetooth.
The system will support keyboards, mice, printers etc. via Bluetooth, but not audio.
It is necessary to download the proper drivers, either from the computer manufacturer, the software manufacturer or the manufacturer of the Bluetooth chip in the computer.
Help to do this must be sought with the companies that supply one or more of these computer features.

When I try to pair the FLIP to my smartphone, the FLIP does not show on the device Bluetooth list, so pairing is impossible. What should I do?
Please press the round POWER Button on the FLIP again for 3 seconds, until the light in the button flashes blue/red. This will deactivate any active BT connection in the FLIP, and it should now become visible in the list of BT components on your smartphone or tablet. Pairing is now possible.

If I pair my Bluetooth speaker to my phone, and record a video with the phone, will the speaker's microphone serve as audio source?
No, all recordings made on the telephone will be using the telephone's built-in microphone.
Replay of the recording will be heard over the speaker afterwards, though, as long as it is paired to the telephone.

Issues with the JBL Portable App and your Android device
There might be several reasons that our Portable app may not be working correctly on your Android device.
First, your Android device must have 5.0 OS (Operating system) or higher to support JBL Connect app. Devices under 5.0 OS will not be supported.
If you are having trouble viewing your JBL Portable device in the app, please disable Bluetooth, and then turn it back on again.
Now you should be able to see your device in the JBL Portable app.
