  • Can I customize my Heart Rate Zones?
    Currently in Record, you can not customize ranges for each heart rate zone but you can customize your Max heart rate, which affects your zone ranges. Edit your Max heart rate by going to My Profile page by tapping the person icon in the top left corner. Tap the edit button in the top left corner to edit the Max HR field.
  • Can I disable Voice function?
    Yes, there are two ways to disable the voice assistant feature.
    1) double tap the left ear cup, or 2) In the My JBL Headphones app, de-select both assistants.
  • Can I do something to have my Horizon wake me up with lower volume than the built-in alarms?
    Since the internal wake-up signals and FM radio do not permit adjustment of the wake-up signal volume, it may be desirable to use an alternative signal source. Connect a smartphone with Bluetooth, and set the Horizon to use the Bluetooth input for wake-up sound. If you reduce the output volume on your smartphone to a suitable level, you will experience a much lower signal volume when Horizon activates the smartphone through Bluetooth when the wake-up time has been reached. With a smartphone, both music from the phone's internal memory, its FM radio, web radio or streamed music may be used. If you want to wake up to a certain song, select the desired tune on the phone, and when it receives the Play command from Horizon, it will begin the right tune.
  • Can I factory reset my JBL Playlist speaker?
    Yes, the JBL Playlist can be reset to factory settings. First, Power ON the JBL Playlist. Secondly, press and hold the Play and Volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, and after 10 seconds you should see the Play/Pause and Bluetooth button light up, followed by the speaker going into Standby. Once you see the speaker powers back ON, reset is complete.
  • Can I get a wall bracket for Control X Wireless?
    Please note that although the Wireless version of Control X does have a threaded insert for brackets, JBL offers no brackets. The brackets for the Control X passive model cannot be used with the wireless version. Brackets for the wireless version must be custom made.

  • Can I install it under the driver’s or a passenger’s seat?
    In most cases there would not be room for this driver under a car seat. But there is a under seat model.
  • Can i learn additional IR codes, other than what the QSG is saying?
    We only offer volume+ and volume-, mute and power for your TV remote to learn these IR codes.
  • Can I listen to music while charging?
    Yes, you can listen to music via cabled connection while you charge the battery. As soon as you insert the charging cable, all active circuits are switched off, and only the analog cable input remains active. When charging has finished, you can use the wireless and noise cancelling functions again.
  • Can I listen to music while charging my E55BT or E45BT?
    Yes, but only via cabled connection. When you insert the USB charging cable, Bluetooth is switched off, so wireless listening is not possible.
  • Can I listen to music while charging my E65BTNC?
    Yes, but only via cabled connection. When you insert the USB charging cable, Bluetooth is switched off, so wireless listening is not possible.

    Unfortunately, you cannot turn on and use the headphones while they are charging.
  • Can I mix my speakers, connecting a black speaker with a red speaker?
    Speakers are associated with each other from the factory. If one of them fails, and you get a replacement, then you will need to follow the association section in the owner's manual, so you can pair your new speaker with the one you have. We do not recommend doing this to mix differently colored speakers, only if one of them becomes defective.
  • Can I pair my Focus 500/700 to multiple devices?
    Yes, these headphones can be connected and paired to two devices at the same time.
  • Can I place my Flip3 in the bathroom, where it is humid, and it may be splashed with water?
    Yes, steam and drops of water in a bathroom are fine.

    Yes, you can use them for telephone conversations in both Bluetooth and wired mode when paired with a smart device.

    Yes, you can play game either wired or wirelessly while using USB-C charging cable.  
  • Can I program my TV remote to the JBL Bar Studio, Bar 2.1, Bar 3.1, Bar 5.1 and Bar 9.1?
    Yes. Out-the-box the JBL Bar series soundbar recognizes volume and mute controls from the most common TV remote controls. The JBL Bar series has IR learning. You can use this feature to teach the soundbar to response to your TV's remote control as well.
  • Can I record directly from the 208P?
    Yes, use the MONITOR OUT sockets (1/4” and RCA are available on 208P, RCA on ONE) to feed into a recording device. Please note that these outputs are volume controlled, so set the volume correctly, depending on the sensitivity of the recording device.
  • Can I replace the ear pads on my Everest 700 or Elite 700 headphones?
    It is possible to replace the ear pads, but there are details to consider. On Elite 700: The ear pads are held in place by a plastic plate with claws, and some of the claws will most likely break off when you remove the pad. You do this by grabbing under the edge where the fabric ends, then pulling hard outward. The claws will eventually let go, and some of them will break off, rattling inside the ear pod. The only way to get them out is to unscrew the speaker plate, lift it up, and shake out the broken-off claws. The new pads are simply centered over the speaker plate, and the claws pressed into the holes with a firm pressure. On Everest 700: The ear pads are glued into position with double-adhesive tape. Pull the old pads off with a forceful, steady pull, until the glue lets go. Remove the protective layer on the new pads, and carefully position them correctly before pressing home all the way around the edge.
  • Can I replace the ear pads on my T-series headphone?
    Yes, the ear pads are replaceable by owner. The pads can be purchased as spare parts from the service center, or purchased directly from the JBL spare parts web shop, when opened.
  • Can I replace the ear pads on the Everest 310/710 headphones?
    No, the pads are glued to the headphone body, and must be replaced by a service technician.
  • Can I reset my Control X Wireless?
    Yes, on the master speaker (the one with playback buttons), simply press the Reverse and Forward Play buttons at the same time for 3 seconds. Please note that after you have performed the reset procedure, master and secondary speakers are no longer connected. Go to the owner's manual page 4, the section "speaker association", to pair the secondary and master again.
  • Can I reset my JBL Authentics L8 or L16, to factory settings?
    Yes it is possible to reset your speaker. The reset will remove all Bluetooth pairings and WiFi network settings. In power ON mode, press and hold the Power Button for at least 10 seconds, until the volume and input selector lights begin to flash. Your JBL Authentics L8 or L16, are now back to factory settings. Please reconnect the speaker to your WiFi network again.
  • Can I share TV sound through JBL Connect using SB450?
    You can only share the sound via JBL Connect through Bluetooth connected devices. TV sound is not permitted as it would cause lip-sync issues.
  • Can I still use my E45BT even if the battery is dead?
    Yes, the E45BT headphones also have an detachable audio cable that you can plug into the headphones. The plug is located at the bottom of the right ear cup.
  • Can I stream Google Chromecast via my PC to Control Xstream?
    Yes, Control Xstream is a Chromecast device that allows you to cast music content via your Chrome browser. However, the JBL Control Xstream is not made for video purposes, because there will be delay between sound and image.
  • Can I stream music via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi from my device simultaneously?
    Yes. The Google cast function works independent to that of Bluetooth, therefore you are able to Bluetooth connect to another device while casting audio to the JBL Playlist simultaneously. This feature is applicable on smartphones, tablets/iPad, and Bluetooth capable computers.
  • Can I submerge the speaker into water or any liquid?
    You should not submerge the speaker into any water or liquid.
  • Can I swim with these headphones?
    No. These headphones are not waterproof. Swimming with these headphones will cause significant and irreversible damage.
  • Can I switch the display completely off on Pulse 2?
    Yes, although this is not mentioned in the owner's manual, it can be done by pressing and holding the light effect button for more than two seconds.
  • Can I take phone calls with the E25BT headphone?
    Yes, the E25BT features a three button microphone which enables you to pause/play, skip tracks and answer and hang up phone calls.
  • Can I take phone calls with the JBL Duet Mini BT headphone?
    Yes, the JBL Duet Mini features a three button microphone which enables you to pause/play, skip tracks and answer and hang up phone calls.
  • Can I take phones calls with the E45BT headphones?
    Yes, the E45BT headphones allow you to switch seamlessly from your music on your portable device to your phone. The controls are located on the Right ear cup which features your volume control and pause and play which is located in the center of the controls. The center button will allow you to answer and hang up phone calls .

    Yes. A usb wall adapter would be required.
  • Can I turn the Heart Rate sensor off and still use the Under Armour Sport Wireless Heart Rate headphones for audio?
    You can turn the Heart Rate sensor off and still use the headphones for audio by placing your finger on the right earpiece for 3-4 seconds. You will hear an audio prompt stating, “Heart Rate disconnected” which will turn the Heart Rate sensor off. If you wish to turn the sensor back on, simply place your finger on the RIGHT earpiece again for 3-4 seconds until you hear the voice prompt stating that the Heart Rate sensor has been turned back on.
  • Can I use 2 JBL Boombox speakers in Stereo?
    Yes, from within the JBL Connect App, when you have 2 JBL Boombox speakers connected, set them in Stereo Mode. When you add a 3rd ( or more ) JBL Boombox speakers, they will automatically revert back to Party mode
  • Can I use a 3rd party wall-mounting system?
    Yes, just be aware that you are responsible for correct installation when using 3rd party wall mounts. The included wall-mounting kit in the box fits perfectly and is good for outdoor or indoor use.
  • Can I use an in-ceiling speaker as an in-wall unit or vice versa?
    No, in-ceiling speakers cannot be used in the wall due to speaker dimensions. A wall is not deep enough to accommodate the depth of an in-ceiling speaker. For in-wall speakers, you can install them in the ceilings without any depth issues. However, for quality listening, we recommend using architectural speakers according to their intended purpose.
  • Can I use Bluetooth for my JBL Playlist speaker?

    Yes, both voice assistants are supported by the JBL LIVE headphones.
    Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant must be selected as the default voice assistant through the My JBL Headphones app.
    The two voice assistants cannot be used simultaneously. You can always change your default voice assistant through the My JBL Headphones app.
  • Can I use both Windows and Apple computers to update my Everest headphones?
    The EVEREST models 100, 300 and 700 are all updated with the HID (Human Interface Device) tool, available in the download section for each model. This tool works with Windows computers only. The EVEREST ELITE models are updated with a USB tool available on the special Everest web page. This tool is available in both an Apple MAC OS version and a Windows version. This USB tool update is used for the first production run of ELITE models ONLY, and only once! All later production runs, and all updates after this first USB update, will take place wirelessly through the My JBL Headphone app, made for iOS and Android.
  • Can I use my E65BTNC as a noise-cancelling headset without music?
    Yes, you do not need to have music playing to keep the noise cancelling switched on. There may be a slight residual hiss from the NC system, which would usually be masked by music, but there will still be a significant reduction of external noise.
  • Can I use my Flip3 outside in rainy weather?
    Yes, this is no problem.
  • Can I use my TUNE600BTnc as noise-reduction headset without music?
    Yes, you can activate the noise reduction circuits alone, with no connection to a source device by Bluetooth or cable. The headphones will stay on as long as there is power in the battery, which is close to 30 hours for pure NC function. Please note that there is a slight residual noise from the NC system, which will be drowned out by music playing, or by surrounding noise such as airplane noise. If you use the NC in surroundings that are near quiet to begin with, you may not get an improvement in noise level.
  • Can I use my Xtreme outside in rainy weather?
