  • The compatibility for JBL Quantum models on PlayStation 5 is the same as it is for PlayStation 4 models.
     All JBL Quantum headset models work through 3.5mm audio jack (aux) connected to the PlayStation controller. USB models will also work on PlayStation. In addition, the wireless models works wirelessly when connected to the 2.4GHz USB dongle.


    Please note: JBL QuantumENGINE is only available on PC. Custom lighting can be set up on PC, and will carry over when connected with USB cable or 2.4GHz USB dongle. 
  • Press and hold the power button located on the RIGHT ear cup. Make sure that the device is on and in Bluetooth range. If this is the first time connecting the device, it will automatically go into pairing mode. You will notice the LED light alternate between blue and white as it searches for a device to connect to. The headphones should pop up on your list of discoverable devices within 3-5 seconds, and connect.
  • Locate the power button on the back of the right ear cup. Gently slide the spring loaded power button up and release. Once turned on, it will display a solid white light. If this is your first time powering on the device it should automatically go into pairing mode, and will display a fast blinking blue light. Make sure the device you are attempting to connect to is in search mode. The headphones should pop up on your list of discoverable devices within 3-5 seconds, and connect. If you are attempting to pair to a different device, make sure headphones are turned on, and press and hold the Bluetooth button located at the bottom of the right ear cup. The headphone should display on your new device within 3-5 seconds on your list of discoverable devices.
  • Power off pushed, or device inactive for more than 15 minutes, or battery below 5% capacity.
  • To increase battery life on your Quantum headphones, turn off your RGB lighting as this will help increase the wireless playback time. You can turn off the RGB in the QuantumENGINE or press and hold the mute button on the headset. 
  • With some of the new mobile devices, pressing the Play/Pause button seems not to work, as devices require longer time to receive confirmation of the action. Please check on the JBL Control X wireless top panel LED indication that the command is received and acknowledged before pressing the Play/Pause command again. It can result in having to press the button two times quickly to activate the proper command before command acknowledgement times out.
  • Only the primary speaker prompts the user when pressing the association button. This does not happen when the same is done on the secondary speaker. However, the front panel LED blinks quickly, indicating that association process is taking place. (This applies to primary and secondary speakers both.)
  • Reset the Soundbar by the same process as when doing "reset remote settings": 1. Switch the SB 350 ON. 2. Press and hold the Surround and Volume (–) buttons simultaneously for about 3-4 seconds, then let go. The Source selection Button flashes amber, followed by the power button and source buttons flashing several times. 3. The soundbar is now reset.

    Do I need to register my product for warranty?
    No. Warranty is never depending on the registration of a product. Registration simply helps keep a record of your purchase(s) and gives you the opportunity to stay update on any information about your product(s).

    Can I edit an existing product registration of mine?
    Partly, yes. You can edit the “Date of purchase” and “Serial Number” fields.

    To do so, log into your account and select "My Product Registrations", find the relevant product from your list of registrations and select “View Registration”. Here you will find the option “Edit registration”.

    If you wish to make changes to any other fields, please delete the relevant registration completely (see instructions below) and simply create a new registration.


    Can I delete an existing product registrations of mine?
    Yes. To delete an existing product registration, you can use the “Delete registration” option.

    Log into your account and select "My Product Registrations", find the relevant product from your list of registrations and select “View Registration”. Here you will find the option “Delete registration”.
     
  • This was done to strike a balance between functionality and ease of use. More than three button pushes on the Smart Button could be annoying to the user, so three settings were chosen: Off, Low (optimized for office settings) and High (optimized for outdoor settings).
  • The intensity of the light show is dependent on the amount of audio signal being sent into the unit.

    If you are experiencing a light show that doesn't move around very much, it is likely that you are not using a feature on your phone called Bluetooth Absolute Volume*. This means that the volume of your phone/tablet/device is controlled independently from the volume of the speaker.

    So, if you have the Pulse 4 set to maximum volume or close to it, but the volume on your device is set at a low level, the light show will show little to no effect. All you have to do is reverse it. Turn up the volume on the device to the maximum and set the Pulse 4 to the desired volume. This will send the correct level to the speaker and the light show will show plenty of effect. This also benefits the sonic quality as well. Therefore, we recommend always having the volume on your device turned up to a high level and then adjusting the volume level on the speaker itself. This way you'll be able to enjoy the light show while also getting good audio quality. Or, if possible, setup your device for Bluetooth Absolute Volume*.

    *BLUETOOTH ABSOLUTE VOLUME: Most phones/tablets/devices now use Bluetooth Absolute Volume (a.k.a. volume sync) by default. This is a feature that synchronizes the volumes of the device and the speaker, and allows the speaker volume to be controlled by changing the volume on either the device or the speaker. The volume being sent from the device is fixed at full volume.
  • A new firmware version has been released for the Pulse 4 (Version 0.5.1.0), below is a list of the improvements:
    1. Supports Bluetooth 5.1 profile.
    2. Improves the stability of stereo setup using the JBL Portable* app.
    3. Improves compatibility with Mac computers.
    4. Enhances light show synchronization with music.
    The firmware update is installed as an OTA update:
    1. Download and install the JBL Portable* app from the Google Play/App Store.
    2. Connect your Pulse 4 to your phone/tablet through Bluetooth.
    3. Open the JBL Portable app and wait for the Pulse 4 to appear.
    4. On the Pulse 4 screen, select settings (gear cog symbol).
    5. Proceed with installing the firmware update.
