  • Yes, the JBL Playlist can be reset to factory settings. First, Power ON the JBL Playlist. Secondly, press and hold the Play and Volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, and after 10 seconds you should see the Play/Pause and Bluetooth button light up, followed by the speaker going into Standby. Once you see the speaker powers back ON, reset is complete.
  • Please note that although the Wireless version of Control X does have a threaded insert for brackets, JBL offers no brackets. The brackets for the Control X passive model cannot be used with the wireless version. Brackets for the wireless version must be custom made.

    If you own a Flip 7 or Charge 6, then make sure software version 1.9.0.1 or later is installed via the JBL Portable app.

    You will then be able to enjoy lossless audio through a USB cable connection to your laptop or tablet.

     

    Follow these steps to enable USB audio playback:

     

    a. Enter USB Audio Playback mode

    Connect a USB-C cable to the speaker.

    Press and hold the "Play" button on the speaker, you'll hear a confirmation tone when USB Audio Playback mode is activated.

    b. Revert to Bluetooth mode

    The speaker will automatically switch back to Bluetooth mode when the USB cable is disconnected from the USB port.

    c. Re-enter USB Audio Playback mode

    To switch back to USB Audio Playback mode, reconnect the USB-C cable and repeat the steps.

     

    A USB type A-C or type C-C shorter than 1,2m is recommended for optimal performance.

    USB thumb drive playback is not supported.

  • Yes, you can listen to music via cabled connection while you charge the battery. As soon as you insert the charging cable, all active circuits are switched off, and only the analog cable input remains active. When charging has finished, you can use the wireless and noise cancelling functions again.
