  • What are the two openings at the back of the Soundgear used for?
    These are bass tuning canals, used to provide full sound.
  • What audio codec does the JBL Dive Support?
    The Endurance Dive supports SBC. But the main signal transfer is A2DP, v1.3.
  • What audio codecs are supported for LINK 10, 20, 300 and 500?
    Codecs such as MP3, AAC-LC, HE+ACC, FLAC, Vorbis, Wav, CELT/opus are supported via Wi-Fi streaming. For Bluetooth, codecs such as SBC and AAC are supported.
  • What can I do with the Connect app?
    It is possible to rename the Bluetooth name of the primary connected device and set the Party or Stereo mode. If a firmware upgrade is available for any Connect, Connect+, or Partyboost compatible speaker, this can be installed through the JBL Portable app. Only identical products can be set to stereo mode. Please note that, even though you can pair a Boost TV with JBL Connect, you cannot control this from the JBL Connect App
  • What can you do with JBL QuantumENGINE software?
    You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.
  • What CEC commands do the SB450 support?
    It supports 3 CEC commands; System Standby, OneTouch Play and Audio Return Channel.
  • What Devices are Compatible with my UA Sport Wireless Headphones?
    Any device that has Bluetooth capabilities and supports A2DP stereo audio streaming will be compatible with the Under Armour Sport Wireless headphones
  • What does ANC on/off mean? NXTGeneration Active Noise Cancelling?
    NXTGeneration (Next Generation) active noise cancelling gives consumers a new level of control over their listening experience. Harman’s noise cancelling technology actively reduces noise so it doesn’t interfere with your listening experience. However, we recognize that in certain environments, you need to have greater awareness of your surroundings and don’t want to be fully isolated from important sounds– whether it is on a city street, in the office or while commuting. Harman’s adjustable ambient aware technology gives the user the ability to bring in the sounds around them and fully adjust the balance between how loud the outside sounds are
  • What does HARMAN volume do?
    With HARMAN Volume you can set your desired volume between low, medium and high. You can listen to your audio without sudden distracting changes such as blasts from ads, and volume variations as you switch between channels on your TV. Other benefits include full sound effects even at low volumes, this means if you are watching movies (DVD, BlueRay disc) and HARMAN volume is set to low volume, then the signal is more compressed, than what the other volume levels is. This will allow you to hear natural, consistent sound at low volume level, and not only hearing voice conversation from movies, giving you the same movie experience just with lower volume. What is best for you is a matter of personal preference, so we recommend playing around with the three different levels.
  • What does IPX7 mean?
    Rating IPX7 means that the device can be submerged in 1m of water for up to 30 minutes without permanent damage, but it has not been tested against the entry of dust.
  • What does splashproof mean?
    Water splashing against the speaker from any direction should have no harmful effect on the unit.
  • What does the + indicate?
    The product + indicates splashproof.
  • What does the Audio Feedback button do?
    Audio feedback turns on tones that let you know that something is happening on the product. When Audio feedback is ON, you will hear tones for:
    • Bluetooth Pairing.
    • SoundShift on/off.
    • JBL Connect Pairing Mode (Boost TV only)
  • What does the Audio Sync function do?
    Sometimes, when the soundbar is connected to a digital TV, the audio may not synchronize with the video. If the video is behind the audio, adjust the audio delay time to match the video.
    You can set the audio delay time between 0 msec and 250 msec.
    Note: The audio delay time you specify may not be exact, depending on the played content.
    The audio sync function will not resolve instances where the video is ahead of the audio.
  • What does the LED light show during charging?
    During charging, the LED lights red constantly. When it is fully charged, the LED goes out. No light.
  • What does the LED show when charging is complete?
    There is a constant red light in the LED while charging takes place. When charging is complete, the diode goes dark.
  • What does the Moment button do?
    It is a personalization feature that allows you to customize your favorite music track, auto-off timing, and music volume.
    Once set up, you can directly access it through the remote control or within the JBL ONE App.
  • What does the Sound Calibration function do?
    The calibration sound setup process ensures the soundbar delivers the best 3D surround effects for any interior and room layout.
  • What does the three Wi-Fi bars indicate?
    The Wi-Fi indicator shows the signal strength between your speaker and Wi-Fi router. 3 bars = perfect signal 2 bars = good signal 1 bar = low/poor signal (which might cause dropouts or other issues)
  • What do the battery LED's mean on my JBL LINK 10 and LINK 20?
    The battery LED's show how much the battery is charged on your LINK 10 or LINK 20 speaker.
  • What do the LED colors mean?
    Here is a list of what the LED lights mean.
    • Light OFF: Power OFF, no charger connected, OR charger connected, fully charged.
    • RED light ON: Power OFF, charger connected and charging.
    • BLUE light flashing: Power ON, no Bluetooth connected.
    • Constant BLUE light: Power ON, connected to Bluetooth device.
    • RED/BLUE light flashing: Power ON, in pairing mode.
    • RED light flashing: Power ON, low battery.
  • What do the LED indicators show?

  • What else can I do with the QuantumENGINE?
    You can adjust equalizer, RGB LED effects, calibrate Quantum ONE headtracking, change microphone settings and update the headset's firmware.
  • What happens if Harman has to change my order?
    In some cases there may be an unforeseen stock limitation or products may no longer be available. We will try to inform you by email as soon as possible of any delays and/or unforeseen changes.
  • What happens if I connect both HDMI eARC and optical to the TV input?
    The soundbar will auto switch the source between HDMI eARC and optical. HDMI eARC is higher priority than optical source. It is not possible to manually switch from HDMI to optical.
  • What happens if you have multiple JBL LINK speakers, will all react to "Hey Google" or "OK Google"?
    All speakers are set to react when you use the keywords to interact with Google. To eliminate multiple speakers talking at the same time, using the "Microphone Mute" button will stop the speaker from reacting to the keywords.
  • What happens to my information if I uninstall Google Home / delete my account / lose my JBL LINK 10, 20 speaker?
    You can access your Assistant history if you go to My Activity (myactivity.google.com) or the My Activity link in the Google Home app to view what you have asked and delete it if you want.
  • What is Adjustable Ambient Aware?
    We use the microphones on the outside of the earcup to pick up the outside ambient noise and play through the headphone. With the unique JBL solution, the user can adjust the level of the ambient noise up or down, and the balance from left to right, so that they are in full control of how loud the ambient sound is in each earcup.
  • What is a voice assistant?
    Voice assistants from Google and Amazon utilize artificial intelligence to quickly answer questions, communicate hands-free and provide notifications among many other helpful benefits. 
  • What is Clari-fi?
    If you download, stream or play music on a digital device, your music is digitally-compressed. Compression can remove up to 90% of the audio details originally recorded in your favorite songs – so you're left listening to a reduced version of the real thing.
  • What is connect+?
    JBL Connect+ can wirelessly link more than 100 JBL Connect+ enabled speakers together to amplify the party
  • What is Connect and how does it work?
    The JBL Connect technology links two JBL Connect enabled speakers wirelessly to each other, so the play the same music. This is done by pressing the Connect button on both devices.
  • What is Dolby Atmos and what does it do?
    Dolby Atmos is a 3D surround sound format.
    Using Dolby Atmos, the soundbar can reproduce multi-channel surround sound, including a virtual height channel. 
    Note: This feature only applies to Dolby Audio content.

  • What is HDCP 2.2?
    HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. In short term, this is used to protect 4K material from illegal pirating. Every device in your chain system, must support HDCP 2.2, meaning if your 4K Blue-Ray player has HDCP 2.2, then your Soundbar must support it (SB450 does) and TV as well, or else you won't see any 4K material. In case your TV do not support HDCP 2.2, then it will downscale to 1080P content, this is done by the Blue-Ray player.

  • What is MapMyRun?
    MapMyRun is a fitness tracking application that enables you to use the built-in GPS of your mobile device to track all of your fitness activities. Record your workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned, and route traveled on an interactive map.
  • What is power protect mode?
    This will illuminate if the voltage drops, increase on power or open circuit, in any wires touching the chassis
  • What is Proposition 65?
    What is Proposition 65? Proposition 65 (“Prop 65”) is a California law that requires businesses to provide a warning before exposing individuals in California to any of 900-plus chemicals that California lists as a carcinogen or a reproductive toxicant (“Prop 65 List”). The list is available at: https://oehha.ca.gov/proposition-65/proposition-65-list. The law includes specific warning language that can be used by businesses to comply. The specific warning language is called a “safe harbor.” Why is Harman including this warning? The chemicals in products that require the Prop 65 warning can vary based on product type.   • What is social mode?
    If social mode is switched on, it is possible to connect up to three source devices. Either device can take over playing. It is the last source-device which presses play, which plays music.
  • What is the "Software" connection on the back of the product?
    This connection is intended for software and service updates only.
  • What is the battery life expectancy for Clip2?
    Up to 8 hours of play time, depending on how loud you play and the source material.
  • What is the best way to insert the ear tips?
    We recommend inserting the ear tips (L for left, R for right located at the end of the ear tip extension) in the ear first and then proceed to wrap the ear loop around your ear. Please make sure to try all three sizes to insure the most comfortable fit.
  • What is the Bluetooth Range?
    The Bluetooth range varies. However, you should get up to 15 meters (just under 50 ft) when using the product indoors. If you are using the headphones outside, conditions vary based on surroundings and body mass. For the best connectivity results, please make sure that the device you are paired to is in the front of your body.
  • What is the clip in the headphones box used for?
    A clip has been included to help ensure the best fit and security of the headphones. Placing the clip on the audio cord and attaching to the top back of your shirt you should be able to twist your head right and left without the clip pulling your ear.
  • What is the default function of the "Smart" button, before any changes have been done in the app?
    The Smart button activates Ambient aware settings: Off, Low, High.
  • What is the difference between EVEREST 100, 300 and 700 models?
    100 is in-ear, 300 is on-ear, 700 is over-ear.
  • What is the difference between HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.0a?
    You'll have all the benefits from HDMI 2.0, but with 2.0a you will also have HDR (High Dynamic Range). Don't confuse HDR with cameras, this is used for TV's that support HDR content. In short, if a Blu-Ray supports HDR, it can enhanced dark scenes from a movie with this option.
  • What is the difference between JBL Go 3/Clip 4 and JBL Go 3 ECO/Clip 4 ECO?

    The difference is that the new ECO versions of Go 3 and Clip 4 are made from 90% PCR (Post-Consumer Recycled) plastic and wrapped in 100% recycled fabric on the speaker grille, while still delivering the same rich JBL Original Pro Sound and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the product.

  • What is the difference between Quantum SPHERE 360 and Quantum SPATIAL 360?
    You can get the professional sound precision and accuracy with head-tracking enhanced JBL QuantumSPHERE 360™ on your PC while gaining sound immersion with JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360™ on your platform. JBL QuantumSPHERE 360™ is accessed through the USB-C dongle/adaptor on your PC passing through the QuantumENGINE. The JBL QuantumSPATIAL 360™ is accessed on consoles through the USB-C dongle/adaptor works without the JBL QuantumENGINE.
  • What is the difference between Soundgear and Soundgear BTA?
    The difference is the BTA unit, which is a Bluetooth transmitter. The Soundgear BTA comes with the BTA unit in the box. The Soundgear does not. The BTA can be connected (with a signal cable) to a TV set, a CD player, or any other stereo line-level source, and can then stream this signal to the Soundgear wirelessly, via Bluetooth. TV sound or game sound are possible, since the BTA and the Soundgear use aptX Low Latency, which reduces the audio delay to levels, where picture and sound will be closely synchronized. This is also the secret behind the option to connect two Soundgears to one BTA unit, for two people to share a TV transmission, or a video game. Actually, you can use the BTA to stream to most other Bluetooth headphones and loudspeakers, but only if these devices also support aptX LL will the delay be low enough for video use.
  • What is the difference between the 10.000 and the 20.000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery in Boombox has a capacity of 10.000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, half the storage voltage, which will give you 74Wh - equivalent to a 20.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V.
  • What is the difference between the 5000 and the 10000 mAH battery size stated on the box?
    The physical battery has a capacity of 5000mAh @7.4V. This is the charged battery storage. When outputting ( so power from the battery is drawn ), it's using 3.7V, so half of the voltage, which will give you 37Wh - equivalent to a 10.000mAh battery with power stored at 3.7V
  • What is the difference between the cable with silver and the cable with black plugs?
    Since there is no fixed standard for headphone connections, there are two cables in the box, with different polarity. If one cable does not give good audio results, try the other cable. This usually solves the problem. The majority of phone models (Apple, Samsung from Galaxy S2 model, LG, HTC, Sony, Motorola, Blackberry) require the audio cable with the silver plugs. Pin assignment in this cable from the tip of the plug: R/L/Ground/Microphone. However, some manufacturers, such as some models from Nokia, require a cable with different pin assignment, (R/L/Microphone/Ground). In this case, you should use the audio cable with the black plugs.
  • What is the difference between the Endurance Sprint and Endurance Jump?
    The Endurance Jump features the power hook which provides a secure fit ear hook design, which automatically turns the power on/off when putting on or taking off the earphones. The Sprint does not feature the power hook and you manually have to turn on/off the headphones by pressing and holding the JBL logo on the RIGHT ear hook.
  • What is the difference between the first and second generation of Under Armour headphones?
    Wireless: Old name is Headphone Wireless. New name is Sport Wireless. Body is re-designed, the new body is smaller in diameter, but a bit longer. Angle of sound tube is changed slightly. Audio performance is improved. Enhancers slightly changed. Heartrate: Old name is Headphone Wireless Heartrate. New name is Sport Wireless Heartrate. Construction and design are unchanged.
  • What is the difference between the Focus 500 and the Focus 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the Inspire 500 and the Inspire 700?
    The only difference between the 500 and 700 series is that the 700 model provides you with a charging case. The features and functionality on the actual headphones themselves are the same.
  • What is the difference between the SB 250 and SB 350?
    The SB 250 has optical and auxiliary connections, while the SB 350 has both connections along with HDMI ARC. The SB 250 has the JBL SoundShift feature (one-button switch between TV and Bluetooth connection), while the SB 350 does not. Compared to the SB 250, the SB 350 has a more powerful subwoofer amplifier. The bigger amp will provide listeners with more bass response.
  • What is the difference between the Studio 2 and Arena Architectural speaker series?
    Apart from the driver materials, both the Studio 2 and Arena architectural speakers are quite the same. However, the Studio 2 series does deliver better high frequency versatility, thanks to the pivoting and level adjusting feature for the tweeter. The pivoting feature allows you to position/direct the tweeter toward the listening area. The level adjusting feature allows you to tune the high frequency (Zero to -3dB) as needed. These features are also available on select Harman Luxury Architectural speakers (Revel) as well.
