Only the primary speaker prompts the user when pressing the association button. This does not happen when the same is done on the secondary speaker. With some of the new mobile devices, pressing the Play/Pause button seems not to work, as devices require longer time to receive confirmation of the action. Please check on the JBL Control X wireless top panel LED indication that the command is received and acknowledged before pressing the Play/Pause command again. To increase battery life on your Quantum headphones, turn off your RGB lighting as this will help increase the wireless playback time. You can turn off the RGB in the QuantumENGINE or press and hold the mute button on the headset.Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback!

Locate the power button on the back of the right ear cup. Gently slide the spring loaded power button up and release. Once turned on, it will display a solid white light. If this is your first time powering on the device it should automatically go into pairing mode, and will display a fast blinking blue light. Make sure the device you are attempting to connect to is in search mode. The headphones should pop up on your list of discoverable devices within 3-5 seconds, and connect. If you are attempting to pair to a different device, make sure headphones are turned on, and press and hold the Bluetooth button located at the bottom of the right ear cup. Press and hold the power button located on the RIGHT ear cup. Make sure that the device is on and in Bluetooth range. If this is the first time connecting the device, it will automatically go into pairing mode. You will notice the LED light alternate between blue and white as it searches for a device to connect to. The compatibility for JBL Quantum models on PlayStation 5 is the same as it is for PlayStation 4 models.
All JBL Quantum headset models work through 3.5mm audio jack (aux) connected to the PlayStation controller. USB models will also work on PlayStation. In addition, the wireless models works wirelessly when connected to the 2.4GHz USB dongle.
Please note: JBL QuantumENGINE is only available on PC. Custom lighting can be set up on PC, and will carry over when connected with USB cable or 2.4GHz USB dongle.Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! -

Personi-Fi 2.0 is a feature available through the Headphones App for select models. This feature helps to personalize the sound using the best possible sound curve based on your hearing capabilities. It will first ask a few questions, and then check your current ambient audio. You will be informed that this step should be completed in a quiet environment. It will play a series of test tones in all the different frequencies wherein after each frequency test tone is played, it will ask you what is the lowest volume setting you can hear. Nine different sounds will be played in each ear (18 in total).
Simply press and release the button when you hear a sound. After it goes through all the test tones, it then calculates the best sound for your ears based on the results. It allows you to demo the results by playing a track. You will be able to toggle it on/off to hear the difference.
