FAQs & How-Tos

How do I turn off the Google Assistant on the JBL Everest 310GA and 710GA?
It is not possible to turn the Google Assistant feature off on the headphones, but if you turn off GA on your phone, the headphones won't trigger. On the Everest GA models, the Google Assistant feature is in fact than an extension of your phone, so once you connect to your phone via BT, when you touch the right ear pod, it commands your phone to open the "Hey Google" command.
The only way to stop that from happening is to change the Google settings on your phone to deactivate Google Voice Match, or deactivate Google Assistant entirely.

Is there an app for the EVEREST Bluetooth models that are not one of the ELITE models with ANC?
No, the app works with the ELITE models only. These are the ones that feature Active Noise Cancelling.
Can these headphones be used as a chat gaming headset?
The Everest product uses standard Bluetooth protocol for audio communication. Gaming headphones usually use a different frequency and protocol for audio communication.
Waterproof Information
This product does not feature an IPX rating and is not waterproof. Over exposure to water or moisture can result in irreversible damage to this unit.
How can the headphones be restored to factory default?
Switch the headphone ON, then press both volume buttons (VOL + and VOL-) at the same time, and hold them for 5-6 seconds. The headphones are now reset to factory default.
What is the requirement for the JBL Everest GA series?
These are the supported languages for the Everest GA series.
  • English (US, UK, CA, IN, AU)
  • German
  • French (CA, FR)
  • Japanese
  • Portuguese (BR)
More will be added in future Google releases.
I cannot activate Google Assistant when touching the dedicated button, why?
It sounds like you are living in a country where Google Assistant has not yet been officially released. When Google releases the Google Assistant to more countries, the Everest GA headphones will open up for this feature. It may require a software update for this to happen. For now, you can use them as normal Bluetooth headphones and wait for the release to use the Google Assistant feature.
Do the Everest and Everest Elite headphones support AAC or aptX?
Sorry, neither AAC nor aptX are supported.
