Do the Everest Series headphones support AAC or aptX?
Sorry, neither AAC nor aptX are supported.
I've paired my ELITE headphones, but the app does not recognize them - what's wrong?
Close and reopen the app. This will ensure that the app recognizes the headphones.
How to connect your headphones to the Google Assistant for iOS devices
Visit your App store to download the ‘Google Assistant’ App.

After you have paired your JBL headphones to your device via Bluetooth, you should receive a pop-up notification (pictured below). Please tap the notification on your device to start the Google Assistant setup. You will now be directed to the Google Assistant App.

Follow the steps to connect and pair “JBL XXXX-LE” with the Google Assistant App, the name will depend on your model.
Once set up is complete, you will see the below screen:

PLEASE NOTE: To verbally interact with your Google Assistant via the headphone, you must turn on the ‘Spoken Notifications’ in the Google Assistant App. This can be found under Assistant Devices > Notifications. Alternatively, your JBL headphones can be added to the Google Assistant App manually by adding them as a Bluetooth device if this was not done when first paired. Google Assistant must be selected as your chosen voice assistant in the settings of the My JBL Headphones App also.

Are the Everest 310, 710, 750 ear pads replaceable by owner?
The ear pads on the three second-generation Everest headphones are fixed to a plastic plate, held in place on the ear pods with small claws. It is not very easy to remove it, and sometimes one or more of the claws may break off. This means that it is usually best to have a service technician do the replacement, but if you have new pads at hand, and is handy with tools, you may do it yourself.
How to connect your headphones to the Google Assistant for Android devices
If not pre-installed on your Android device, visit your App store to download the ‘Google Assistant’ App.

After you have paired your JBL headphones to your device via Bluetooth, you should receive a pop-up notification (pictured below). Please tap the notification on your device to start the Google Assistant setup. You will now be directed to the Google Assistant App.

Can these headphones be used as a chat gaming headset?
The Everest product uses standard Bluetooth protocol for audio communication. Gaming headphones usually use a different frequency and protocol for audio communication.
Are the materials of the Everest 750NC headphones non-leather?
Yes. Our Everest series headphones are made with synthetic protein leather which is a non-animal leather.
Can you connect to multiple devices on the 750NC?
No. Unfortunately, you cannot connect to multiple devices on the 750NC Wireless headphones. You can pair to multiple devices, but can only be connected to one device at a time. The Everest 710 and 310 feature ShareMe 2.0, which permits listening to the same source over two headphones, wirelessly.
aptX Audio Codec Support
This headphone does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency audio codecs.
How do I reset my JBL Everest 310, 710 and 750 Elite headphones?
With the headphones switched ON, press VOLUME + and VOLUME - , and hold them for 5 seconds. Your headphones are now reset to factory settings. This is true for Everest 310, 710, Elite 750, 310GA and 710GA.
Waterproof Information
This product does not feature an IPX rating and is not waterproof. Over exposure to water or moisture can result in irreversible damage to this unit.
Do I need the App to update the software in the Everest Elite headphones
For headphones with Version 4.0 of the Firmware, the first update will be done via USB cable, and after the first update, all subsequent updates will be delivered over the air. For headsets with version 5.0 of the firmware, all updates will be delivered over the air, via the app
How can the headphones be restored to factory default?
Switch the headphone ON, then press both volume buttons (VOL + and VOL-) at the same time, and hold them for 5-6 seconds. The headphones are now reset to factory default.
How do I power on and pair the Everest 750NC headphones?
Locate the power button on the back of the right ear cup. Gently slide the spring loaded power button up and release. Once turned on, it will display a solid white light. If this is your first time powering on the device it should automatically go into pairing mode, and will display a fast blinking blue light. Make sure the device you are attempting to connect to is in search mode. The headphones should pop up on your list of discoverable devices within 3-5 seconds, and connect. If you are attempting to pair to a different device, make sure headphones are turned on, and press and hold the Bluetooth button located at the bottom of the right ear cup. The headphone should display on your new device within 3-5 seconds on your list of discoverable devices.
How to connect your headphones to the Amazon Alexa for Android and iOS devices
Visit the App Store and download the ‘Amazon Alexa’ App.

  1. Click the Plus(+) button on the top right of the screen.
  2. Then select ‘Add Device‘.
  3. Select headphones from the list and then choose your Headphones from the list of available devices.
  4. Follow the rest of the instructions in the Alexa App to complete the setup.
Can I use the Everest Noise Cancelling feature while plugged into a device with my audio cable or flight adapter?
No. The only way that the Noise Cancellation feature can be activated is while you are using the headphones wirelessly. You cannot use NC while the headphones are plugged into a device or charging.
The app does not open if the headphone is not ON. Is this correct?
Yes, the app only works when the headphone is powered ON and paired to a source device that has the app available.
Is the App required to operate the headphone?
No. All of the Everest Elite headphones are designed to offer the key features and benefits to the user without the need for the app. The My JBL Headphones App gives the consumer another level of control over the headphones. Through the app, the consumer can personalize the performance of the headphones such as: varying levels of the ambient aware, creating custom eq settings, and turning features on or off.
Where do I find new software, if it does not automatically appear in the app?
For headphones with version 4.0 of the firmware, updates will be available via jbl.com/app. For headphones with firmware version 5.0 or higher, update notification will be pushed via the app
Headphones & Third Party Communication Apps (Skype, Zoom, WhatsApp, etc)

If you are experiencing issues getting the app to communicate with your headphones, (assuming you have already paired the headphones with the device) go into the communication apps audio settings. You will likely find the resolution there. You may have to set your headphones as the ‘communication device’ within the app you are using.

How to use Google Assistant with your headphones
After setting up Google Assistant on your headphones through the My JBL Headphones app, use Google Assistant by pressing & holding the touch panel for 2 seconds on the earbud that you enabled the voice assistant feature on.

Does the audio cable on the Everest 750NC feature volume control?
No the audio cable included with the Everest series headphones has a one-button remote control with microphone. It does not have volume buttons. It can perform pause/play, and gives you the ability to answer and hang up phone calls. However, you can control the volume when the headphones are connected to a source device with Bluetooth, using the buttons on the ear cup.
How to switch between voice assistants using the My JBL Headphone app
The voice assistant you select in the initial set-up (pictured below) will be used as the default assistant on your headphones.

You can change the default assistant in the ‘My JBL Headphones’ app:
  1. Open the My JBL Headphones app on your device.
  2. Select the headphones you are connected too.
  3. Go to Settings by clicking the symbol in the top right corner.
  4. Select Voice Assistant.
  5. Now you can select your preferred voice assistant.

Your headphones may restart after switching Voice Assistant.
Trouble accessing the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa on your Headphone
First, ensure that you have the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa apps installed on your device, depending on the voice assistant you want to use. Go to your app store to download the intended voice assistant app, then add your headphones as a device in the app if necessary. Finally, enable the intended voice assistant in the settings of the My JBL Headphones app and assign which earbud you want to use to control it. The voice assistant app must be open for it to work correctly. It can be opened from within the My JBL Headphones app by tapping the name of the required voice assistant after you have selected it for use and assigned a gesture to one of your earbuds to control it.
What is the default function of the "Smart" button, before any changes have been done in the app?
The Smart button activates Ambient aware settings: Off, Low, High.

How to use Amazon Alexa with your headphones
