  • How to set up your microphone

    Ensure that only one voice chat application is in use while in-game. Be sure you hear a click when the microphone is flipped down. The microphone will only function when it is flipped down fully. If you see a red LED on the microphone, it is muted.

    Check that the PC is using the correct recording device.

  • Why are my headphones shown as “speakers” on Windows?

    The “Speaker” mode allows the JBL QuantumENGINE to receive more than two channels of audio.   • How to use your Quantum wirelessly

    It is offering low-latency wireless connectivity via a 2.4Ghz signal that is enabled by a USB dongle included in the box. Turn on the slider, then it automatically connect to the dongle. If you loss the connectivity with the dongle, power on with the slider and hold on for 5 seconds and press and hold the dongle to make sure the pairing until listening to the tone.

  • Why you can't hear your teammates

    Make sure JBL Quantum 800 is selected for PC.

    If you are connected to the PC via USB, check that the default device is selected under Control Panel --> Sound --> Playback.
    Select JBL Quantum 800, right-click and "Set as default device".

    Make sure the volume control on the headset is turned up. Rotate the volume wheel on your headset to increase the volume.
    Check that your headset's GAME-CHAT balance dial and ensure that the balance is correct, you might refer to the screenshot below from the QuantumENGINE PC software.

    If you still cannot hear the game or music audio, or if the volume is still very low, check if the TalkThrough is activated via the QuantumENGINE software.

  • No sound when playing or listening to music

    Make sure the on headset volume control is turned up. Rotate the volume wheel on your headset to increase the volume. If you're connected to the PC via USB, check that the default device is selected under Control Panel > Sound > Playback. Select JBL Quantum 600 or Quantum 800 Game, right-click, and select "Set as Default Device". Check your headset's game-chat balance dial and ensure that the balance is correct.   • Using the Quantum headset while charging

    JBL is committed to providing the most optimal consumer experience through superior immersive audio. Our Quantum 800/600 headsets are designed to be connected via 2.4Ghz, BT ( 800 only ) or 3.5mm jack. USB-C port is only designed for charging the internal 14hr battery and does not provide an audio connection.
    However, you can use the 3.5mm audio connection while charging. This is an intentional design decision. We value your feedback and have communicated it directly to our product designers for future consideration.

  • Noise Cancelling feature not working while playing on PS4

    If you are having difficulty with the noise cancelling feature while on your PS4, please check your side tone setting in QuantumENGINE by connecting your Q800 to your PC. Please note that ANC will not work properly if the mic is on and sidetone is greater than 0. We recommend either muting the mic or change the sidetone in the JBL QuantumENGINE to 0.

    To increase battery life on your Quantum headphones, turn off your RGB lighting as this will help increase the wireless playback time. You can turn off the RGB in the QuantumENGINE or press and hold the mute button on the headset.

  • The volume level on my headphones is very quiet

    If your volume level is quiet, make sure that the TalkThru is not activated on your headphones. In order to deactivate or activate TalkThru, quickly press the ANC button located at the top of the LEFT ear cup. You will hear an audible voice stating, TalkThru On when activated, and 'ANC On' when deactivated.

  • Non-removable microphone feature

    We've intentionally designed the flip-up boom mic to stay affixed to the headset. We know from experience that losing or breaking the detachable mic is never fun. Therefore, we designed the mic to fold neatly into the headset - this design also allows the mic to automatically mute when elevated. If you're wanting a detachable mic, please check out the Quantum 100 or the Quantum ONE.

  • How to switch between Game and Chat balance

    Yes, you can adjust game and chat audio balance by rotating the dial up and down. You will feel a notch in the dial that indicates 50 game and 50 chat when you rotate the dial.

  • How to update the headset

    You can update our Quantum 600 and 800 using the QuantumENGINE software on your PC.
    When updating the headset, please make sure that they are turned off and then connect the USB-C cable to your PC to update the headset.

    Note:  You cannot update the Quantum 600 or 800 if they are turned on.

  • Mic Monitoring Support

    The Quantum line does not have sidetone/mic monitoring so you will not be able to hear your own voice through the headphones.
  • How RBG lighting work for console games

    JBL Quantum 400 and ONE are compatible with USB C to A cable to enjoy PS4 console with RGB Lighting on, and Quantum 600 and 800 with wireless-enabled by USB dongle also gives lighting moment on PS4 console games.

    *NOTE that RGB will not light up when connecting with 3.5mm cable to any device (PC, Console, Mobile, etc.) because the cable doesn't have power enough for the RBG lighting.
