FAQs & How-Tos

  • Does the Wi-Fi indicator on the front of JBL Playlist, has to be at full signal to work?

If the Wi-Fi indicator has all 3 LED lights on, then the signal to the speaker is extremely good, and if only 2 LED light up, then the signal will be good. If you only have 1 LED light or No LED light we suggest moving the speaker to a different location for a better Wi-Fi signal and better audio experience.

  • I experience delay on some Playlist speakers in my group. Can I do something?

First, open your Google Home application. Then find the speaker(s) that has a delay, while playing in a group. Tap the "three dots" icon next to the speaker, and select "Settings". Tap the "Group delay correction", and a new screen will appear. Adjust the delay by scrolling the bar to the right. You can adjust the delay up to "100 ms" per speaker. The best way to find the right delay for the speaker(s) is to play music to the group they are in, and adjust it to match the group while playing.

  • How does Google Chromecast work?

Google Chromecast is a simple way to stream music from the cloud to your speaker, using your phone, tablet or computer as a remote control. Simply download the Google Home app and use it to setup your Chromecast enabled speaker. Once you have done this, open any of the compatible Chromecast streaming services on your phone or tablet. Start your music playback, tap on the Chromecast icon, and select the loudspeaker of your choice from the list to stream the music from the cloud to that loudspeaker. To find your favorite streaming services, please use this link: https://www.google.com/cast/apps/#?category=music.
