DVD280 - IMPROVING MOVIES, ONE PIXEL AT A TIME. Standard video images are decoded line by line. But the JBL DVD280 decodes them pixel by pixel, a far more processor-intensive process that produces a noticably better-looking result. With progressive-scan component video output and a built-in test pattern to optimize the performance of any display, the DVD280 delivers video images of astonishing clarity and detail. And being a JBL product, you know the sound is equally clear and detailed. There are optical and coaxial digital outputs for Dolby Digital and DTS signals, and audiophile-grade digital-to-analog converters for purer sound reproduction. Of course, the JBL DVD280 delivers full-spectrum sound from the full spectrum of today's digital audio sources. But it was designed primarily to bring today's most exciting movie
