The JBL CS480 has four identical satellites with advanced titanium-laminate-dome tweeters and 3-1/2-inch drivers for unsurpassed power and realism. A voice-matched horizontal center speaker uses components identical to those used in the satellites for seamless pans, with two midranges that give dialogue extra power and clarity. A potent 125-watt subwoofer will rock the room exactly when it should. The JBL CS480 system is great to look at too, complementing flat-panel televisions and any room decor.

The JBL® CS480 gives you four identical satellites, a center channel and a room-shaking subwoofer. Added up, it’s a state-of-the-art JBL Cinema Sound system that can handle the sonic range of today’s high-resolution digital media.
The extremely thin but rigid titanium-laminate dome delivers accurate, undistorted high frequency response, even when the volume is way up. The end result is a full, clear, tight reproduction of high frequencies.
Proprietary JBL® EOS Waveguide technology realizes the sonic response of your listening environment and delivers intense, precise imaging. You get ideally balanced music. Crisp dialogue. Smooth audio distribution. Every seat is the best seat in your home theater.
Your movies have rich, smooth, detailed sound. When it comes to the critical center channel, the CS480 steps up, using dual 3-1/2-inch midrange drivers reinforced with stiff, lightweight PolyPlas™ to make dialogue sound clear and natural.
The JBL® CS480 creates bass with a powerful punch, using an 8-inch, 125-watt subwoofer. To increase rigidity, the CS480 uses a patented JBL PolyPlas™ driver. PolyPlas™ material is lightweight but strong, reproducing low frequencies effortlessly, with maximum impact.
The FreeFlow™ bass reflex port has computer-optimized geometry to maximize tight, deep bass response while eliminating unwanted turbulence and noise. The result? A home theater system with true, wall-rattling bass that will make your music and movies even more exciting.
Nothing is over- or under-emphasized. You get a true, full sound range from deep bass tones to ultra-high frequencies. The satellites have a frequency response of 110Hz to 20kHz, the center channel is 100Hz to 20kHz and the subwoofer is 110Hz to 20kHz.
