Echo-cancelling technology makes sure you're heard loud and clear when rallying the troops or opponents. Or not. The Quantum 800 features a 2-way mute possibility. Just flip up the adjustable boom mic to mute your voice or press the button built into the ear cup.
DISCORD-certified Game Audio-chat balance dial lets you adjust audio levels on the fly. Separate sound cards handle game and chat audio, allowing you to set the proper balance on the headset without having to leave the game. Also compatible with TeamSpeak, Skype, and other services.
JBL's unique JBL QuantumENGINE PC software powers the immersive surround sound. Select your preferred surround sound settings and personalize your JBL Quantum 800 gaming headset from a user-friendly dashboard, creating separate profiles and RGB effects, and modifying microphone settings. You can also adjust the equalizer or choose from 6 presets.

  • The JBL Quantum 800 can only be used via a 3.5mm, Bluetooth, or 2.4Ghz wireless connection.
  • Yes. You can configure the volume of the mic monitoring in JBL QuantumENGINE. And the default setting of the mic monitoring is set of “OFF”.
  • JBL Quantum 400 and ONE are compatible with USB C to A cable to enjoy PS4 console with RGB Lighting on, and Quantum 600 and 800 with wireless-enabled by USB dongle also gives lighting moment on PS4 console games.

    *NOTE that RGB will not light up when connecting with 3.5mm cable to any device (PC, Console, Mobile, etc.) because the cable doesn't have power enough for the RBG lighting.

     

  • You might have to add a USB extension dock to get the JBL Quantum 350/600/800/810 dongle as close to the headset, or place the common sources of interference (e.g. routers, Wi-Fi speakers etc.) as far from the JBL Quantum 350/600/800/810 dongle.

  • The battery is charged using an included USB-A to USB-C USB fabric cable. It will be fully charged for 2 hrs. Note, this cable is only for charging the battery, it will not deliver audio.
  • Ensure that only one voice chat application is in use while in-game. Be sure you hear a click when the microphone is flipped down. The microphone will only function when it is flipped down fully. If you see a red LED on the microphone, it is muted.

    How to check your PC settings for the correct recording device

    4. Make sure to select the proper recording device.

    1. Right-click on it Quantum headset.

    5. Check the microphone levels by right-click on your Quantum headset. Then click on Properties

    Please also make sure the volume control on the headset is turned up. Rotate the volume wheel on your headset to increase the volume.
    Check that your headset's Game-Chat balance dial and ensure that the balance is correct, you might refer to the screenshot below from the QuantumEngine PC software.

    If you still cannot hear the game or music audio, or if the volume is still very low, check if the TalkThrough is activated via the QuantumEngine software.

    Finally, you can also do a short press on the Smart Ambient button on the headset (if your headset, has this feature)

  • Onboard Active Noise Cancelling is controlled by the multi-function button on the rear of the left ear-cup. Switched on by default, you can SINGLE press the ANC button to toggle it On/Off  and LONG press to active TalkThru. Turn on ANC again by a single press on the multi-function button.
  • Yes, you can adjust the game and chat audio balance by rotating the dial-up and down. When you rotate the dial, you'll feel a notch that indicates the balance is 50% game and 50% chat. The slider on Quantum ONE is different and has no notch but instead a visual indicator.
  • It is offering low-latency wireless connectivity via a 2.4Ghz signal that is enabled by a USB dongle included in the box. Turn on the slider, then it automatically connect to the dongle. If you loss the connectivity with the dongle, power on with the slider and hold on for 5 seconds and press and hold the dongle to make sure the pairing until listening to the tone.
  • You can clean it by wiping it gently with a damp cloth. Take extra care not to let water leak into the speaker chamber, as it will damage the speaker drivers.
