To reset your JBL Bar 2.0 or 2.1 back to factory default settings, follow the steps below.
- Turn on your JBL Bar 2.0 or 2.1
- Press SOURCE and POWER buttons on top of the bar at the same time for more than 3 seconds.
- Your soundbar will now power off and on again.

When listening to multichannel content you may find that your dialogue isn’t coming in as clear, or your surround effects are louder than you’d like. Our sound bars have a feature called ‘Smart Mode’ that implement our unique JBL Surround Sound as well as other tailored EQ settings. While these are great for content that needs a helping hand, for some multi-channel content it can be overwhelming. If you find this to be the case with some content, you can disable ‘Smart Mode'.
To toggle between smart mode and standard surround, on the remote control, press and hold MUTE for more than 3 seconds, then press Volume Up (+). "OFF SMART MODE" or "ON SMART MODE" will be displayed.NOTE: The sound bar defaults to smart mode every time the bar is turned on.Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! -
