Does the Xtreme has the same sound with and without AC power connected? If you are playing on battery only, you may experience slightly lower bass level and dynamics near maximum volume. If you are AC connected and playing via your Xtreme speaker, you will hear an increase in bass performance. The reason that bass performance is lowered when playing on battery is to reduce power consumption for you to have longer playing time from your Xtreme speaker. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! What can I do with the Connect app?It is possible to rename the Bluetooth name of the primary connected device and set the Party or Stereo mode. If a firmware upgrade is available for any Connect, Connect+, or Partyboost compatible speaker, this can be installed through the JBL Portable app. Only identical products can be set to stereo mode. Please note that, even though you can pair a Boost TV with JBL Connect, you cannot control this from the JBL Connect AppWas this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! When using JBL Connect, how far can i take the second speaker with me?JBL Connect feature is using Bluetooth technology, so it is hard to say how far you can walk away. Depending on what other signals you have at your place that could interupt and wall material between speakers. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! Not able to connect to JBL Portable app using iOS 14 or higherThe JBL Xtreme will no longer appear in the JBL Portable app while using Apple devices with iOS 14 or later installed, due to incompatibility.
You can continue to use the speaker as normal with these devices through Bluetooth or Aux connection, but it will no longer appear in the app.

Can Horizon wake you up with Bluetooth music from a telephone?Yes, if a telephone is connected via Bluetooth to Horizon, this is possible. When adjusting the wake-up timer, there will be an option to select various wake-up tones, or Bluetooth sound. Select Bluetooth as source, while the telephone is playing the music stored locally, or streaming what you want as wake-up music. When the wake-up adjustment is finished, music will be playing over Bluetooth through the Horizon. Press Pause on the source telephone, or press the round selector button (between the two arrow-buttons) on the Horizon to pause the music. Now the system is ready to wake you up with Bluetooth music. When wake-up time arrives, Horizon sends a Play command to the telephone, and music plays via Bluetooth. You can use music that is stored in the phone, use Spotify or play from the cloud. This has been tested with both iPhone 6 and Samsung S6, and should work flawlessly. Was this helpful? Factory Reset InformationPower on the speaker Press and hold the Volume + button and the Bluetooth button together for 3-5 seconds until the speaker turns off Once turned off, the speaker has been reset to the factory default settingsWas this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! My JBL GO goes into standby when I play quietly. Why is that, and can something be done to change this? With some phones, such as iPhones and some Android models, volume is synchronized while Bluetooth is used, and levels below volume setting 6 (tested with iPhone 6 and iPhone 5s) and volume setting 5 on most Android devices will cause the GO to enter standby after some minutes. If you want to play softer while still using your iPhone as a source, please change to cabled connection from the headphone output to the AUX input of GO. This will make it possible for you to set the GO's volume at its minimum step, and then control total level on the telephone. Of course, if source level from the telephone is set extremely low, the GO will go into standby again, because GO needs a certain level to keep playing. Alternatively, use a phone which does not synchronize volume as source. Many Android phones do not synchronize volume, so by using such a phone, you can adjust GO to its lowest level, adjusting total level independently, even via Bluetooth. This will usually result in music volume at the desired level. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! My JBL GO goes into standby when I play quietly. Is the case waterproof? The case handle light rain and snow, but will not be waterproof if submerged into water. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! After I updated my computer to Windows 8/10, I am no longer able to establish a Bluetooth connection with my speaker to play music. How can I correct the problem? This is because most Windows do not support A2DP stereo audio streaming via Bluetooth, the standard for music-listening through Bluetooth. The system will support keyboards, mice, printers etc. via Bluetooth, but not audio. It is necessary to download the proper drivers, either from the computer manufacturer, the software manufacturer or the manufacturer of the Bluetooth chip in the computer. Help to do this must be sought with the companies that supply one or more of these computer features. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! If I pair my Bluetooth speaker to my phone, and record a video with the phone, will the speaker's microphone serve as audio source? No, all recordings made on the telephone will be using the telephone's built-in microphone. Replay of the recording will be heard over the speaker afterwards, though, as long as it is paired to the telephone. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback! My telephone/tablet computer/laptop computer closes down or has a distorted screen image when placed on top of L8 or L16. Why?Some mobile phones, tablet computers or laptop computers will react to the powerful magnetic field from the loudspeaker drive units that are right beneath the top panel. Some have magnetic sensors built in, which means that covers with magnets in the lid can turn the phone ON when the cover lid is opened, and turn it OFF again when the lid is closed. Such phones may turn off if placed on certain portions of the top panel. Other devices are simply sensitive to magnetic fields. You can move the device around on the top of your L8 or L16 speaker, to check if some locations are better than others. The magnetic fields are most powerful near the front panel, where the speaker units are mounted. If you cannot find a location which works, your particular phone, tablet or laptop cannot be used while resting on the top panel of your speaker. There are no reports of damage to any devices because of this phenomenon. Was this helpful? Thank you for your feedback!
