  • Prerequisites:
    − Make sure that your room is quiet;
    − Make sure that the soundbar and the two detachable rear speakers are fully in sight of each other, without obstacles in between.
    − Make sure that the left and right rear speakers are properly placed, the L speaker on the left and the R speaker on the right.

    The calibration is done in two steps: Listening zone & Speaker position

    Calibrate the listening zone

    1. Place the detachable rear speakers beside your seating position.


    2. On the remote control, press and hold HDMI until “1-CALIBRATION” is displayed on the soundbar.
    → Countdown starts from 5 to 1.
    → Calibration tone is heard. Audio calibration starts.
    → “CALIBRATING”: Calibration ongoing.
    → “1-DONE”: Calibration of the listening zone is completed successfully.

    Calibrate the speaker position

    1. Place the detachable rear speakers in your desired location.

    2. On the remote control, press and hold HDMI until “2-CALIBRATION” is displayed on the soundbar.
    → Countdown starts from 5 to 1.
    → Calibration tone is heard. Audio calibration starts.
    → “CALIBRATING”: Calibration ongoing.
    → “2-DONE”: Calibration of the speaker position is completed successfully.
    3. To select suitable surround sound level, press repeatedly to switch between high, low or middle (default).

    NOTES:
    − During calibration, all buttons on the remote control are disabled except for STANDBY and HDMI.
    − “SETUP FAILED” is displayed if calibration failed.

  • You will see a notification in the recommendation option on your TV screen when there is an upgrade is available.

    The system will download the firmware and apply the update after your confirmation.

    You can also manually check for updates. Go to the settings menu and select “About” followed by “System Update.”
  • To perform a hardware reset of your earbuds, press and hold the reset button on the charging case* for more than 5 seconds. This resets the earbuds without restoring the settings to the factory defaults.
    * Location
    Live 300TWS/Live Pro+ TWS: Inside the charging case between the earbuds.
    Live Free NC+/Reflect Mini NC TWS/Reflect Aero: On the back of the charging case, next to the USB-C port.
    Club Pro+ TWS: On the bottom of the charging case, next to the USB-C port.
  • If you want to add more depth and bass to your LINK BAR, we have a dedicated subwoofer (not included with the LINK BAR) that you can purchase!

    Pairing the Subwoofer is very simple:
    1. Turn on the soundbar and the subwoofer. If the connection is lost, the LED indicator on the subwoofer blinks slowly.
    2. Press the “Subwoofer Pairing” button on the SW10 subwoofer to enter pairing mode. The LED indicator on the subwoofer blinks quickly.
    3. Press the “Subwoofer Pairing” button on LINK BAR, the LED indicator on the LINK BAR blinks rapidly
    4. If successful, the pairing LED indicator on both subwoofer and LINK BAR will be a steady white LED light. If pairing fails, the sign on the subwoofer blinks slowly.
    5. If the pairing fails, repeat the steps above. If you are still experiencing problems, please try to switch off all wireless devices in the home (such as routers, TV sets with wireless function, telephones, computers, etc.), then try again. It may be overcrowding on the 5GHz frequency, which often causes problems. By eliminating all other wireless activity, this will help space for the LINK BAR to establish its connection. You now should be able to pair without problems. Once pairing is complete, you can switch your devices on again
  • We included a Remote Control in your box (I know, that's sweet of us), and you need to pair it with your LINK BAR before it is working.

    This is how you will do it
    1. Press the BLUETOOTH button on the LINK BAR
    2. Now hold the BLUETOOTH button down for 3-5 seconds.
    3. When you see "SEARCHING FOR ACCESSORIES" on your TV screen, release the BLUETOOTH button.
    4. On your REMOTE press the HOME and BACK buttons at the same time.
    5. A Green LED light will flash on the REMOTE to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
    6. Keep holding down the buttons until you see a message on the TV screen that says, "Pairing remote control to LINK BAR" After 10 seconds, release.
    7. If done successfully on your TV screen, you will see an indicator counting down that it will "pair" with your remote.
    Enjoy your entertainment with few clicks away!

    BONUS TIP:  There is an Android app called Android TV that will turn your Smartphone into a Remote controller.
    1. Press and hold the [VOL- ] and [SOURCE] buttons simultaneously.  The software version will scroll across the front display.
    2. If a newer software version is available, download it from the JBL website.
    3. Copy the two files to the Root directory of an empty USB thumb drive.
      • Update.zip
      • Checksum.txt
    4. On the bar, press and hold the [POWER] and [SOURCE] buttons for more than 10 seconds.  This will reset the BAR 5.1 Surround.
    5. Insert the USB thumb drive into the USB port on the rear panel of the bar.
    6. On the bar, press and hold the [POWER] and [VOL-] buttons for more than 10 seconds to begin the software update process.
    7. "UPDATING" will appear on the front display of the bar.
    8. Wait for the software update to complete.  The unit will reboot and go back to standby.
    9. Turn unit on.
    10. Press and hold the [VOL- ] and [SOURCE] buttons simultaneously.  The new software version will scroll across the front display.

  • JBL TOUR ONE
    Power off Tour One first and hold the ambient aware button on the left earcup for 2 seconds. You can get ANC on without Bluetooth connection, which will save your battery. Once you slide up the button on the right ear cup to power on, Bluetooth connection and music will return to normal.

    JBL TOUR PRO+ TWS
    Press and hold both right and left earbuds on Tour Pro+ TWS for 5 seconds at the same time. You can get ANC on without Bluetooth connection, which will save your battery. Once you press and hold both right and left earbuds for 5 seconds, Bluetooth connection and music will return to normal.

  • Playing local playlist that you created via Spotify works differently for Android TV system, which the LINK BAR has built-in!

    Here is how to do it:
    1. Go to the Google Play Store on your TV screen (Use remote to navigate).
    2. Download the Spotify app
    3. Sign-in with your account.
    4. You can use the dedicated app and navigate through your playlist.
    5. Alternatively, you can now use voice commands such as "Ok Google, Play my Playlist Sunday Funday On Spotify"
    Now you can enjoy Spotify using voice or the Remote Control.

    *Some commands may not be available in all countries.
  • Finding the software version

    1. Press and hold the 'Volume-' and 'Bass Boost' buttons for 5 seconds.
    2. A voice will start prompting numbers which indicates the current software version.

  • NOTE: Apple IOS users are not able to find their MAC address in Google Home app due to privacy policies in the USA and European market.

    We advise setting up your device on a less secure network. Log into the router and retrieve the MAC address for your device then add it to your preferred network.

    Instructions below are for Android only

    1. Open your Google Home app Google Home app
    2. Enable Bluetooth User-added image on your device.
    3. Enable Location service User-added image on your Android device.
      1. Remember to "Allow" Google Home to view your location while using the app (You are asked during setup of the Google Home app).
      2. In case you denied access go to Settings User-added image Apps User-added image Google Home User-added image Permissions User-added image Allow to view Location.
    4. When you at selecting the Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks, before tapping on your network you need to get the MAC address.
      1. Tap  the User-added image located top right corner.
      2. In the pop-up menu press "Show MAC address" User-added image Write down the MAC Address.

    You can now add the MAC address to your local Wireless router or system if your configuration requires this before installing the device on your network.

    Finding the MAC address after speaker is installed

    1. Open your Google Home app Google Home app.
    2. Tap on  to view your home.
    3. Find your room User-added image.
    4. In the top right corner tap Settings icon User-added image.
    5. ​Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. You will see some system information and the MAC address as well.
  • Place both ear pods in the charging box, while the charging box is plugged into a power source. Press and hold the button on the Right pod for about 5 seconds. The LED on the pod will turn off and then turn back on again. This restores to factory defaults. (Please note that charging must take place for reset to work.) It also may be necessary to remove or forget the earbuds from the list of paired Bluetooth devices in order to pair again.
  • In Power On mode, press and hold 'Volume+' together with 'Play/Pause' for more than 2 seconds. The speaker will power off and is now reset.
  • Bluetooth Pairing

    1. Press the BT button button on the Partybox to start the pairing process.
    2. Grab your mobile device.
    3. Go to settings --> Bluetooth --> Enable Bluetooth --> BT ON
    4. Find the Partybox speaker you want to establish a Bluetooth connection to.

    1. You now have a successful connection and can stream your favorite music.
      1. NOTE: It is only possible to have two devices connected at the same time and if you want to listen through the second Bluetooth device then stop the current one from playing and use the second device.
      2. To stop Bluetooth broadcasting then insert a USB device.

    1. To control the Light show on your JBL Partybox device, simply press the dedicated "Light show" button located under the Bluetooth icon. There are 3 different light shows available when toggling through them, select your favorite one and have a blast. There is no app developed to control or modify these settings, all settings have to be done on the Partybox device.
    2. You can enjoy streaming your favorite music over WiFi to your JBL BAR 9.1 Surround by adding it to your network. Turn on your soundbar. Download the Google Home app to your phone. Enable Bluetooth and Location services on your device. Open Google Home app Follow the instructions given in the app. You are now connected to your WiFi network and can enjoy streaming music to your system. The soundbar will now be able to automatically update, to make sure the performance is the best at all times.
    3. You can enjoy streaming your favorite music over WiFi to your JBL BAR 5.1 Surround by adding it to your network.

      Connecting to WiFi
      • Turn on your soundbar.
      • Download the Google Home app to your phone.
        • Available on Android and Apple.
      • Enable Bluetooth, Location services on your Android device.
      • Enable Bluetooth on your Apple device.
      • Open Google Home app
      • Follow the instructions given in the app.
      You are now connected to your WiFi network and can enjoy streaming music to your system.
    4. To successfully connect the JBL Wireless Microphone Set to a Partybox, connect the supplied 6.3mm jack dongle to the Partybox's Microphone Input. Now turn on the dongle and the Partybox. The dongle's Power button light should stay lit, if the light turns off or does not stay lit it is off and needs to be charged with the provided USB cable.*

      Now turn on one or both microphones as required and increase the Mic volume and gain to the desired level. The LED screen will show a channel number 'CH-1', 'CH-2', etc. The channel number is not changeable manually, and may change between power cycles, but all channels will connect automatically to the dongle. If the LED screens do not show a channel number, the batteries in the microphones need to be replaced.

      *Charging the dongle while in use is not recommended and will likely cause unwanted interference.
    5. 1. Open the Google Home app 2. Select the LINK VIEW 3. Select SETTINGS. 4. There is a line that says Paired Bluetooth Devices. 5. When you select it, it gives you the option to ENABLE PAIRING MODE. 6. Use your voice - "Hey Google, Open Bluetooth" and LINK VIEW will enable Bluetooth connection. You can disable Bluetooth using "Hey Google, Close Bluetooth" Once you have enabled Bluetooth pairing mode on your LINK VIEW, simply go into your Bluetooth settings menu on your mobile device and connect.
    6. With a short press of the dedicated Bluetooth button on the underside of the right ear cup, it powered on and enter the pairing mode.
       
    7. Our FLIP 5 speaker is an "All-weather companion," and sometimes it can get dirt and other substances on it. Clean your speaker under lukewarm water from your water tap, and use a microfiber cloth to remove stains. Do not use any alcohol or other to remove stains and dirt. Do not charge your product while the charging port is wet; make sure it is dry before you connect it to a charger. Contact our Customer support if you need more advice.
    8. You can clean it by wiping it gently with a damp cloth. Take extra care not to let water get into the speaker chamber, as it will damage the speaker drivers.

      Use a clean cotton swab slightly moistened with alcohol to:
      1. Remove earwax and dirt from the ear tips on your earbuds.
      2. Clean the charging pads and ports on your earbuds and in the charging case respectively. Then use a dry and soft cotton to rub down the dust and lint.
      3. Clean the grooves on the cover and at the bottom of the charging case.
      After cleaning, make sure the charging case and earbuds are dry before putting the earbuds back into the charging case.

      TIP: 
      We recommend that you repeat this operation every few weeks or so to keep your headphones clean and to not affect the charging speed and quality.
    10. So your Pulse 4 got dirt on it, or even fingerprints, and you want to show off the device the best way possible.
      Keep reading this article, and we will instruct you on how to clean the glass and device.

      How to clean your speaker
      • Dirt and stains on your speaker can be cleaned under lukewarm running tap water.
      • Use a soft cloth, preferably cotton, to clean the glass and to remove fingerprints. Hold the top part to avoid adding more prints to the glass part.
      Remember not to charge the device while it is still wet. The charging port needs to be completely dry before charging.

    11. To find out the software version, press and hold the [VOL- ] and [SOURCE] buttons simultaneously.  The software version will scroll across the front display.
       
    12. To check the firmware version:
      Press and hold the 'Preset 1' & 'Preset 5' buttons for more than 10 seconds.
    13. The battery is charged using an included USB-A to USB-C USB fabric cable. It will be fully charged for 2 hrs. Note, this cable is only for charging the battery, it will not deliver audio.
    14. You might have to add a USB extension dock to get the JBL Quantum 350/600/800/810 dongle as close to the headset, or place the common sources of interference (e.g. routers, Wi-Fi speakers etc.) as far from the JBL Quantum 350/600/800/810 dongle.

    15. • Always have clear line of sight between your Bluetooth device (speaker, headphones etc.) and source device (Smartphone/tablet/PC etc). Be aware of obstacles in front of your devices.

      • Try to shutdown other products that have Bluetooth, but are not being used. They are often the reason for interference even though they are not being used.

      • Do not stand too close to your Wi-Fi router since a Wi-Fi signal is stronger and in many cases will "overlap" the connection.

      • Be aware of walls around you. Concrete and brick walls will often interrupt the signal, as it cannot pass through such thick walls.

      • Bluetooth signals cannot travel through water, which includes the human body. Make sure with wireless headphones to keep your source device and the receiver on the same side of your body.

      • Open spaces such as parks can cause issues for your devices, as open air is "bad" for any Bluetooth signal if it cannot reflect from objects around you.
    16. Sometimes you need to change settings such as changing EQ to match the content you are watching or adjusting the bass level.
      1. Grab your Remote control.
      2. Press and hold the "HOME" button down, an overlay on the right side of the screen will appear.
      3. This is our quick settings menu.
      4. Go to Settings --> Sound --> Select EQ Mode
      5. Hit the back button Arrow icon a couple of times until you are back at what you are watching.
      With the Quick settings menu, you don't have to stop and leave the app or content you are watching, its very simple, and easy to use!
    17. JBL Quantum 400 and ONE are compatible with USB C to A cable to enjoy PS4 console with RGB Lighting on, and Quantum 600 and 800 with wireless-enabled by USB dongle also gives lighting moment on PS4 console games.

      *NOTE that RGB will not light up when connecting with 3.5mm cable to any device (PC, Console, Mobile, etc.) because the cable doesn't have power enough for the RBG lighting.

    37. When playing music: one click is Pause or Play. Two clicks skips to next track. Three clicks skips back to start of track or previous track. At all times, hold the button to start voice-activated phone functions. For telephone use: one click to accept a call, two clicks to end the call.
    38. By pressing and holding the Bluetooth and the Volume PLUS buttons at the same time. The software version is shown in the display.
    39. The DUET NC noise cancellation button is located on the bottom Right ear cup. To turn the Active Noise Cancellation on, press and hold the button (Located next to the Bluetooth button) for 2-3 seconds or until you hear the confirmation audio tone. To turn off the noise cancellation, press and hold for 2 seconds or until you hear the audio tone powering off. A white LED next to the button lights up when NC is on.
    41. Press and hold the RIGHT center button for 1-2 seconds.
    42. If you want to skip your track forward, simply press and hold the top button on the inline microphone. If you want to skip the track backward, press and hold the bottom button until you hear the track skip backward. You typically hold the button for 1-2 seconds to advance to the next track or to go backwards.
    43. Locate the power button on the back of the right ear cup. Gently slide the spring loaded power button up for 2-3 seconds and release. Once turned on, it will display a solid white light. If this is your first time powering on the device it should automatically go into pairing mode, and will display a fast blinking blue light. Make sure the device you are attempting to connect to is in search mode. The headphones should pop up on your list of discoverable devices within 3-5 seconds, and connect. Once connected, you will see a solid blue light above the power button.
    44. The Reflect Contour BT lets you skip the tracks forward, by pressing and holding the volume up button for 3 seconds and skip tracks backward, by pressing and holding the volume down button for 3 seconds.
    45. The REFLECT MINI BT lets you skip the tracks forward, by pressing and holding the volume up button for 3 seconds and skip tracks backward, by pressing and holding the volume down button for 3 seconds.
    46. The Synchros Chrome is actually the Synchros S500 in chrome-plated version. On the right ear cup, you will find two ridges. These are there to make it possible to remove the disc that covers the batteries. You just position your fingernails against the ridges, to turn the disc counter-clockwise, against a small notch resistance. The Chrome is not painted, but plated. This means that the material is now thicker, and the lid can be rather difficult to remove, because the locking notches are squeezed into position. There is no other way than to put pressure on the ridges, press downward and in a counter-clockwise direction at the same time, and press until the notches, or claws, finally let go, and the lid rotates into open position, when it will fall off. If the lid does not budge, it may be necessary to use some kind of tool, but that can damage the chrome surface. In extreme cases, it may have to go to service.
    47. Press the power button located on the bottom of the Right Ear cup. If this is your first time using the headphones, it should immediately start looking for a device to connect to. Make sure that the device that you are trying to connect to is in pairing mode. The JBL JR300BT should display on your discoverable devices within 2-5 seconds. If the headphones have not successfully connected to the device, press and hold the Bluetooth button located next to the Power button on the Right Ear Cup for 2 seconds. As the headphones go into pairing mode, they should connect to your device within 2-5 seconds.
