  • Boombox 2 Firmware Version Information
    A new firmware version has been released for the Boombox 2 (Version 0.4.4.0), below is a list of improvements:
    1. Improvements to Bluetooth connection stability.
    2. Support for PartyBoost under aux-in connection.
    3. Improvements for switching between PartyBoost and Stereo mode.
    4. Improvements to firmware update stability with iOS.
    5. Improvements to the stability of switching music between aux-in and Bluetooth connection.

    The firmware update is installed as an OTA update:
    1. Download and install the JBL Portable app from the Google Play/App Store, or simply update the app if you have already downloaded it.
    2. Connect your Boombox 2 to your phone/tablet through Bluetooth.
    3. Open the JBL Portable app and wait for the Boombox 2 to appear.
    4. On the Boombox 2 screen, select settings (gear cog symbol).
    5. Proceed with installing the firmware update.
  • Buttons unresponsive when plugged into a power source
    If the buttons on your portable speaker are not working properly or are unresponsive while plugged into a power source, please try running the speaker on battery. If the buttons perform correctly while running on battery, this means your power supply is not providing enough current/amps. Be sure to use a power supply that has a rating equal to or greater than the amperage rating indicated in your product specs.
  • Call Information
    To take a phone call, tap the center button of the right or left ear for 1 second. To hang up a call, tap and hold the center button for 1 second. To ignore a call, tap and hold center button for 3 seconds until music resumes. You may also use the ear buds in MONO or STEREO mode which allows you to make a call or listen to music on either bud independently.
  • Can anyone hear my search history on my JBL LINK 10, 20, 300 or 500?
    Yes, anyone that is near your JBL LINK speaker can get access to previous search history or information about Calendar, Google, Gmail etc., if you have shared this kind of information with the LINK speaker.
  • Can Apple's Siri assistant be activated from the headphone remote?
    No, this is not possible. Siri is activated by pressing the play-button for some seconds. Since the play-button on the headphone doubles as on/off button, pressing and holding it will simply turn the headphone off.
  • Can Boost TV be wall-mounted?
    Boost TV is not designed to be wall-mounted. It is designed to be surface-mounted underneath a television.
  • Can Control Xstream withstand all weather.
    Control Xstream is splash proof (IPX3). Which means that they can be used outside, but they should not be exposed to direct precipitation.
  • Can Horizon wake you up with Bluetooth music from a telephone?
    Yes, if a telephone is connected via Bluetooth to Horizon, this is possible. When adjusting the wake-up timer, there will be an option to select various wake-up tones, or Bluetooth sound. Select Bluetooth as source, while the telephone is playing the music stored locally, or streaming what you want as wake-up music. When the wake-up adjustment is finished, music will be playing over Bluetooth through the Horizon. Press Pause on the source telephone, or press the round selector button (between the two arrow-buttons) on the Horizon to pause the music. Now the system is ready to wake you up with Bluetooth music. When wake-up time arrives, Horizon sends a Play command to the telephone, and music plays via Bluetooth. You can use music that is stored in the phone, use Spotify or play from the cloud. This has been tested with both iPhone 6 and Samsung S6, and should work flawlessly.
  • Can I activate heart rate voice info with gloves on?
    No, you will need to use your fingertips, or use special gloves made for touch-screen use.
  • Can I add a subwoofer to EON 208P?
    Yes, please use the SUBWOOFER ¼” socket on the main panel to connect an additional subwoofer. This is an unfiltered output, so you will need an active (amplified) subwoofer with its own crossover network.
  • Can I adjust the call tone level on JBL Soundgear?
    While you have an incoming call, and you can hear the call-tone from your SoundGear, simply adjust the SoundGear's call-tone level to the desired intensity, using the SoundGear's volume buttons.
  • Can I also have my product delivered to an address that is different to my invoice address?
    When placing your order you can indicate whether the order should be delivered to your invoice address or any other address (e.g. your work address).
  • Can I answer calls with the E15?
    Yes, the E15 headphone features a one button microphone that allows you to answer calls and easily control your music.

    Yes, once you have setup the speaker via the Google home app, the name you entered during setup process is also displayed in Bluetooth settings.
  • Can I change the Bluetooth name for my JBL Boost TV?
    Sorry, this is not possible.
  • Can I change the Bluetooth name for my JBL SB 250?
    Sorry, this is not possible.
  • Can I check the software version on my Boost TV?
    Yes, press Volume - and Connect button at the same time for 5 seconds. A voice reads out a set of numbers, which is the current software version. Using the HID Software Tool, available in the Manuals & Downloads section, you can find out if an update exists, and if so, install the update.
  • Can I connect 2 separate devices to the SB 250 AUX and optical Inputs?
    SB 250 will only pass one connection at a time. If two connections are playing at the same time, then the optical device will take priority.
  • Can I connect 2 separate wired devices to the Boost TV AUX and optical Inputs?
    Yes, you can definitely connect two wired devices at the same time. However, the Boost TV will only pass one connection at a time. If two connections are playing at the same time, the optical device will take priority.
  • Can i connect 3 or more speakers together with JBL Connect?
    No, for now it is only possible to connect two speakers together using the JBL connect feature. Newer JBL products feature JBL Connect+, which allows you to connect > 100 devices simultaneously, these however are not compatible with older JBL products featuring JBL Connect
  • Can I connect more than one Bluetooth device?
    You can connect up to 3 Bluetooth devices at the same time. In case you are listening to music via Bluetooth, each device will override the other when a command (play) is selected.
  • Can i connect more than one Bluetooth device to my Control X wireless?
    No, you can only have one activate device connected to the speaker. Please un-pair your current Bluetooth device, then connect with another device if needed.
  • Can I connect more than one Soundgear to the BTA transmitter?
    No. The two Soundgears can connect to the BTA, but not to each other. Also, when using one Soundgear, the use of aptxLL may result in a delay. If you are connected to two, the delay may be more noticeable, since LL is no longer active.
  • Can I connect multiple devices to the Flip 3 SE?
    No, it's not possible to connect simultaneously from multiple devices to the Flip 3 SE. If you need a new device to pair with the Flip 3 SE, please press the Bluetooth button the Flip 3 SE to enable pairing mode. The Flip 3 SE should be available in the list of Bluetooth devices on your mobile phone/tablet
  • Can I connect my Control Xstream speakers to 5GHz Wi-Fi?
    Yes, Control Xstream uses both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHZ wi-fi networks.
  • Can I connect my EON speaker to a computer with Bluetooth?
    Yes, provided that your computer supports A2DP Stereo audio streaming over Bluetooth, you can connect to JBL EON 208P and EON ONE. If your computer can connect to a mouse, a keyboard or a printer with Bluetooth, but not the EON speaker, please check if A2DP is supported. If it is not, ask the provider or manufacturer of your computer how to establish A2DP support.
  • Can I connect my Soundgear with analog jack cable, or other cables?
    No, Soundgear is wireless Bluetooth only, and needs to be charged to play music. But the BTA 20 transmitter must of course be connected with a cable to the signal source.
  • Can I connect the headphones to my UA band?
    Yes, Once you've added your UA Sport Wireless Heart Rate to the UA Record mobile app any workout started on your UA Band will automatically connect to the headphones if powered on and present. The Band will indicate the heart rate sensor is connected and begin showing your heart rate zones using the color LED on the side of the Band.
  • Can I connect to multiple devices at the same time on the Everest 310/710 headphones?
    To pair and connect to a different device, press and hold the bluetooth button located on the bottom of the right ear cup until you hear the audible voice stating "looking for device." Make sure the the device you are trying to connect to are in search mode. The headphones should display on "Discoverable Devices" within 2-3 seconds. Choose the Pair option and you should hear the audible voice state "connected" and the LED light should transition into a slow blinking blue light.
  • Can I connect to multiple devices at the same time on the Inspire/Focus 500 headphones?
    Yes, these headphones can be connected and paired to two devices at the same time.
  • Can I connect to multiple devices on the E45BT/E55BT?
    Yes. The E45/E55BT headphones have the ability to pair and connect to two devices at the same time.
  • Can I connect to multiple devices on the E65BTNC?
    Yes. The E65BTNC headphones have the ability to pair and connect to two devices at the same time.
  • Can I connect to multiple devices on the JBL DUETNC?
    Yes. The JBL DUETNC headphones have the ability to pair and connect to two devices at the same time.
  • Can I customize my Heart Rate Zones?
    Currently in Record, you can not customize ranges for each heart rate zone but you can customize your Max heart rate, which affects your zone ranges. Edit your Max heart rate by going to My Profile page by tapping the person icon in the top left corner. Tap the edit button in the top left corner to edit the Max HR field.
  • Can I disable Voice function?
    Yes, there are two ways to disable the voice assistant feature.
    1) double tap the left ear cup, or 2) In the My JBL Headphones app, de-select both assistants.
  • Can I factory reset my JBL Playlist speaker?
    Yes, the JBL Playlist can be reset to factory settings. First, Power ON the JBL Playlist. Secondly, press and hold the Play and Volume (-) buttons simultaneously for about 10 seconds, and after 10 seconds you should see the Play/Pause and Bluetooth button light up, followed by the speaker going into Standby. Once you see the speaker powers back ON, reset is complete.
  • Can I get wallmounts for Control Xstream
    Please note that although the Control Xstream does have a threaded insert for brackets, JBL offers no brackets. Custom made wallmounts should be used.
  • Can i learn additional IR codes, other than what the QSG is saying?
    We only offer volume+ and volume-, mute and power for your TV remote to learn these IR codes.
  • Can I listen to music while charging?
    Yes, you can listen to music via cabled connection while you charge the battery. As soon as you insert the charging cable, all active circuits are switched off, and only the analog cable input remains active. When charging has finished, you can use the wireless and noise cancelling functions again.
  • Can I listen to music while charging my E55BT or E45BT?
    Yes, but only via cabled connection. When you insert the USB charging cable, Bluetooth is switched off, so wireless listening is not possible.
  • Can I listen to music while charging my E65BTNC?
    Yes, but only via cabled connection. When you insert the USB charging cable, Bluetooth is switched off, so wireless listening is not possible.
  • Can I listen to music while charging my JBL DUET NC?

    Yes, these headphones can be connected and paired to two devices at the same time.
  • Can I place or answer telephone calls with my JBL LIVE headphones?
    Yes, you can use them for telephone conversations in both Bluetooth and wired mode when paired with a smart device. 
  • Can I place the JBL Quantum Stream Studio in a different mounting?

    The JBL Quantum Stream Studio comes with an adapter that can be mounted on different boom mic arm systems or tripods. The adapter is already built in the microphone stand so that you always have the adapter close to you when needed. 

  • Can I program my TV remote to the JBL Bar Studio, Bar 2.1, Bar 3.1, Bar 5.1 and Bar 9.1?
    Yes. Out-the-box the JBL Bar series soundbar recognizes volume and mute controls from the most common TV remote controls. The JBL Bar series has IR learning. You can use this feature to teach the soundbar to response to your TV's remote control as well.
  • Can I record directly from the 208P?
    Yes, use the MONITOR OUT sockets (1/4” and RCA are available on 208P, RCA on ONE) to feed into a recording device. Please note that these outputs are volume controlled, so set the volume correctly, depending on the sensitivity of the recording device.
  • Can I replace the ear pads on my Everest 700 or Elite 700 headphones?
    It is possible to replace the ear pads, but there are details to consider. On Elite 700: The ear pads are held in place by a plastic plate with claws, and some of the claws will most likely break off when you remove the pad. You do this by grabbing under the edge where the fabric ends, then pulling hard outward. The claws will eventually let go, and some of them will break off, rattling inside the ear pod. The only way to get them out is to unscrew the speaker plate, lift it up, and shake out the broken-off claws. The new pads are simply centered over the speaker plate, and the claws pressed into the holes with a firm pressure. On Everest 700: The ear pads are glued into position with double-adhesive tape. Pull the old pads off with a forceful, steady pull, until the glue lets go. Remove the protective layer on the new pads, and carefully position them correctly before pressing home all the way around the edge.
  • Can I replace the ear pads on my T-series headphone?
    Yes, the ear pads are replaceable by owner. The pads can be purchased as spare parts from the service center, or purchased directly from the JBL spare parts web shop, when opened.
  • Can I replace the ear pads on the Everest 310/710 headphones?
    No, the pads are glued to the headphone body, and must be replaced by a service technician.
  • Can I share TV sound through JBL Connect using SB450?
    You can only share the sound via JBL Connect through Bluetooth connected devices. TV sound is not permitted as it would cause lip-sync issues.
  • Can I still use my E45BT even if the battery is dead?
    Yes, the E45BT headphones also have an detachable audio cable that you can plug into the headphones. The plug is located at the bottom of the right ear cup.
  • Can I stream Google Chromecast via my PC to Control Xstream?
    Yes, Control Xstream is a Chromecast device that allows you to cast music content via your Chrome browser. However, the JBL Control Xstream is not made for video purposes, because there will be delay between sound and image.
  • Can I swim with these headphones?
    No. These headphones are not waterproof. Swimming with these headphones will cause significant and irreversible damage.
  • Can I switch the display completely off on Pulse 2?
    Yes, although this is not mentioned in the owner's manual, it can be done by pressing and holding the light effect button for more than two seconds.
  • Can I take phone calls with the E25BT headphone?
    Yes, the E25BT features a three button microphone which enables you to pause/play, skip tracks and answer and hang up phone calls.
  • Can I take phone calls with the JBL Duet Mini BT headphone?
    Yes, the JBL Duet Mini features a three button microphone which enables you to pause/play, skip tracks and answer and hang up phone calls.
  • Can I take phones calls with the E45BT headphones?
    Yes, the E45BT headphones allow you to switch seamlessly from your music on your portable device to your phone. The controls are located on the Right ear cup which features your volume control and pause and play which is located in the center of the controls. The center button will allow you to answer and hang up phone calls .
