Yes, you can listen to lossless audio from your speaker.
Make sure the latest software version is installed. This can be updated via the JBL Portable app.
You will then be able to enjoy lossless audio through a USB cable connection to your laptop or tablet.
Follow these steps to enable USB audio playback:
Enter USB Audio Playback mode
- Make sure the speaker is turned on.
- Press and hold the "Play" button on the speaker and connect a USB-C cable to the speaker, you'll hear a confirmation tone when USB
- Audio Playback mode is activated.
Revert to Bluetooth mode
The speaker will automatically switch back to Bluetooth mode when the USB cable is disconnected from the USB port.
A USB type A-C or type C-C shorter than 1,2m is recommended for optimal performance.
USB thumb drive playback is not supported.

Yes, you can listen to music via cabled connection while you charge the battery. As soon as you insert the charging cable, all active circuits are switched off, and only the analog cable input remains active.
