Yes, you can activate the noise reduction circuits alone, with no connection to a source device by Bluetooth or cable. The headphones will stay on as long as there is power in the battery, which is close to 30 hours for pure NC function. Please note that there is a slight residual noise from the NC system, which will be drowned out by music playing, or by surrounding noise such as airplane noise. The EVEREST models 100, 300 and 700 are all updated with the HID (Human Interface Device) tool, available in the download section for each model. This tool works with Windows computers only. The EVEREST ELITE models are updated with a USB tool available on the special Everest web page. This tool is available in both an Apple MAC OS version and a Windows version. This USB tool update is used for the first production run of ELITE models ONLY, and only once! All later production runs, and all updates after this first USB update, will take place wirelessly through the My JBL Headphone app, made for iOS and Android.Was this helpful? Yes, both voice assistants are supported by the JBL LIVE headphones.
Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant must be selected as the default voice assistant through the My JBL Headphones app.

You can turn the Heart Rate sensor off and still use the headphones for audio by placing your finger on the right earpiece for 3-4 seconds. You will hear an audio prompt stating, “Heart Rate disconnected” which will turn the Heart Rate sensor off. If you wish to turn the sensor back on, simply place your finger on the RIGHT earpiece again for 3-4 seconds until you hear the voice prompt stating that the Heart Rate sensor has been turned back on.Was this helpful? Yes, the E45BT headphones allow you to switch seamlessly from your music on your portable device to your phone. The controls are located on the Right ear cup which features your volume control and pause and play which is located in the center of the controls.
