Buttons unresponsive when plugged into a power source
If the buttons on your portable speaker are not working properly or are unresponsive while plugged into a power source, please try running the speaker on battery. If the buttons perform correctly while running on battery, this means your power supply is not providing enough current/amps. Be sure to use a power supply that has a rating equal to or greater than the amperage rating indicated in your product specs.

There might be several reasons that our Portable app may not be working correctly on your Android device.
First, your Android device must have 5.0 OS (Operating system) or higher to support JBL Connect app. Devices under 5.0 OS will not be supported.
If you are having trouble viewing your JBL Portable device in the app, please disable Bluetooth, and then turn it back on again.

How can I see that the device is fully charged?
When the Xtreme is ON, the row of 5 diodes at the bottom of the front will light up in turn, with the top flashing LED showing how far charging has progressed.
When full charge has been reached, all diodes light constantly.
In some cases, the fifth diode keeps on blinking, but does not light up constantly, no matter how long charging continues.
Sometimes it will show constant light after charging has been stopped.
This is normal, caused by tolerances in the circuits, and is no cause for alarm. The battery is charged to the same level.
If the Xtreme is OFF, no diodes will light when full charge has been reached.

After I updated my computer to Windows 8/10, I am no longer able to establish a Bluetooth connection with my speaker to play music.
How can I correct the problem?
This is because most Windows do not support A2DP stereo audio streaming via Bluetooth, the standard for music-listening through Bluetooth.
The system will support keyboards, mice, printers etc. via Bluetooth, but not audio.
It is necessary to download the proper drivers, either from the computer manufacturer, the software manufacturer or the manufacturer of the Bluetooth chip in the computer.
Help to do this must be sought with the companies that supply one or more of these computer features.

Does the Xtreme has the same sound with and without AC power connected?
If you are playing on battery only, you may experience slightly lower bass level and dynamics near maximum volume.
If you are AC connected and playing via your Xtreme speaker, you will hear an increase in bass performance.
The reason that bass performance is lowered when playing on battery is to reduce power consumption for you to have longer playing time from your Xtreme speaker.

Smart TV Compatibility
It is always recommended to use our range of Soundbars if you want a speaker for your Television or Smart TV as they are designed specifically for this purpose, whereas our Portable speakers are designed primarily for use with Phones and Tablets.
Support for Bluetooth connectivity between a TV and speaker depends on a number of different factors such as Bluetooth & A2DP versions and Audio Codecs used by each device. This can vary based on the brand, model and age of the devices, however we cannot confirm if any specific combination of TV and speaker will work without issues such as latency or lip sync delay.
