JBL BassPro Go is a powered subwoofer designed to easily mount & charge in any vehicle, augmenting the output of full-range speakers at the lowest frequencies, with quick disconnect features to become a portable Bluetooth speaker and keep the party on the go. With convenient and easy to use controls in or out of the vehicle, BassPro Go allows you to dial-in your music exactly the way you want to hear it. It also has a convenient safety cover to help protect the speaker when used out of the vehicle and to provide an IPx5 marine rating.
JBL BassPro Go is the first speaker of its kind combining convenience, performance and portability in a single product. When mounted in your vehicle, it performs as well as any small box subwoofer on the market. Easily detached, it becomes a powerful Bluetooth speaker so you can always take your music with you.
IPx5 water resistant portable speaker for use outside of the vehicle, with chemical resistance to protect the speaker from harsh environments, all help to keep the speaker from collecting dirt & grime while also making it easy to clean.
Adjustable audio settings to maximize the bass performance in-vehicle, with ability to balance the sound performance and battery life out of vehicle, JBL has created a product even your mother would be proud of.
Stream music with any Bluetooth enabled device outside of the vehicle, with up to 38m outdoor range / 10m indoor range.
Connect up to 3 devices for social mode music sharing and wirelessly connect two BassPro Go speakers together for simultaneous audio playback.
Built-in rechargeable NiMH battery, with up to 8 hours of wireless music playback, also allows you to keep your mobile devices powered while you are on the go.
JBL speakers have to undergo a testing process that would destroy lesser speakers. JBL freezes them, bakes them, shakes them, and drives them at full power for days at a time.

The BASSPRO GO receives is power ONLY from the harness that is connected to the car battery. When connected to the harness, the car battery will charge the internal battery so that it is ready to be used as a portable the next time you need it.
When removed from the harness, the full-range portable speaker runs on the internal battery. It cannot be charged via either of the USB (A or C) jacks. It will be charged the next time it is connected to the harness in the vehicle.

The BASSPRO GO uses the original Connect feature. It is not compatible with devices using the Connect+ or PartyBoost feature. You can connect up to two BASSPRO GO speakers to each other using Connect, or you can connect a single BASSPRO GO to other JBL speakers that have the same Connect feature, like the Xtreme, Charge 3, Flip 3, and Pulse 2.

Installation of a powered subwoofer/speaker in an automobile requires specific knowledge and experience. If you’ve read the manual and do not feel comfortable performing the installation and setup yourself, we recommend that installation be carried out at a specialized center by a professional.

When docked and connected to the harness, the BASSPRO GO can be used as a powered subwoofer or a full-range car audio speaker. It receives it’s audio source from the head unit via the wiring harness and it’s power from the car battery. Bluetooth is not active.
When undocked/portable and removed from the harness, it can no longer be used as a powered sub. It is strictly a full-range portable Bluetooth speaker system. It receives it’s audio source from the Bluetooth input only, and receives it’s power from the internal battery.
