There are two steps in the calibration

Place the surround speakers beside your seating position and press the CALIBR button on the remote control. Follow the instruction to start the 1st calibration
After the 1st calibration done, place the surround speakers in your desired location and press CALIBR on the remote control to start the 2nd calibration
