5 inch x 7 inch / 6 inch x 8 inch Two-Way loudspeaker with Plus One® woofer cone and 1 inch edge-driven My-Ti™ tweeter. the GTO8628 is the perfect upgrade for factroy locations and provides great bass and silky smooth high frequency performance.

The JBL-only Plus One® woofer cone (patent # 7,548,631 B2) is exceptionally stiff, lightweight and has up to 25 percent more active surface area than you’ll ever find on competing models of the same size. You get an audible increase in bass output and efficiency.
Home theater speakers have edge-driven tweeters. So can your car. My-Ti™ tweeters deliver increased power handling and efficiency with reduced distortion. A Mylar®/titanium composite dome makes way for open, smooth spacious sound and a seamless transition between the middle and high frequencies.
Another JBL® feat of engineering: You can rotate the tweeter pod nearly 350 degrees to aim it at the listening position for improved high-frequency response and optimal imaging.
This speaker offers 60 watts RMS, 180 watts of peak power handling, 92dB sensitivity, 2-ohm impedance and an accurate frequency response of 50Hz to 21kHz. Hit the gas and have fun.
This JBL® Grand Touring™ Series speaker makes the best use of any amplifier by providing an optimum 2-ohm load. They use a lower-impedance voice coil than a typical speaker to extract the most power and performance possible from all amplifiers engineered to drive loads of 4 ohms or less. And it is designed to fit right into factory locations with little or no modification.
The GTO 8628 allows the tweeter level to be adjusted 0 to +3 decibels to compensate for low and off-axis mounting positions or road noise.
Low-Impedance, three ohm voice coils compensate for the undergauged speaker wiring found in many of today's cars, and make the most of every watt your amplifier or head unit can deliver.
