6-1/2 inch (160mm) 2-Way Component Speaker System

JBL engineers designed the C608GTi MKII speaker to produce strong, clear sound from a head-unit or amplifier capable of delivering up to 600 watts of power.
Unlike conventional, asymmetrical magnetic-field woofer designs, the C608GTi MKII’s Symmetrical Field Geometry technology maintains a symmetrical magnetic field within the voice-coil gap. Such symmetry means linear cone travel, high power-handling capability and a dramatic reduction in distortion.
An edge-driven, pure-titanium dome tweeter is suspended in the C608GTi MKII’s high-loss rubber surround to damp dome resonances. The benefit is smooth response so that your listening is free from fatigue – even at high output levels.
An edge-wound aluminum voice coil allows JBL® engineers to specify the precise number of windings within the C608GTi MKII’s magnetic gap. The result is a distortion-free extension of high frequencies.
The C608GTi MKII features a fourth-order, 24 decibels/octave Linkwitz-Riley acoustic passive crossover whose steep slopes minimize the interaction between low- and high-frequency drivers. The result is uniform system response in a variety of vehicle-mounting locations.
Nothing about the C608GTi MKII is over- or under-emphasized. With a frequency response of 50Hz to 21kHz, these speaker systems reproduce a true, full sound range from bass to ultrahigh frequencies.
